Constant freezing during game simulation in Dynasty mode

Hi All

First off, great site & mods.

Second, I did do a search and found many posts in regard to this game freezing up in dynasty mode. Unfortunately, not really any good answers that helped my issue but thanks anyway.

So after a fresh install, I've updated with the 2008 Schedule and corrected the calendar to be current.

After trying about three different roster updates, KG, Epic, Lunisonica, I'm constantly freezing up when trying to simulate a game in dynasty. It does not freeze up on the same date. I've tried to sim one day at a time until I get to the date I want but still freezes up. Even if I try to play a game I will still freeze up while simming the other games. It does appear to freeze while simming the AAA game.

I've tried all combinations using different roster updates with the settings that people requested (no injuries, etc.) but still no luck.

Again, it is freezing up on many different dates while I'm still in the month of April. Sometimes I can shut down MVP2005 with Task Manager but other times I have to force reboot my pc which I hate to do.

I guess if there is no immediate solution I'll just have to wait for the MVP08 mod. I'm going to try another fresh install and run with just the 2008 schedule to see if maybe the issue is with that patch. If not, then I can only assume it is roster related.

Hey, welcome to the site. A couple of questions regarding your problem;

Did the game work when you installed it without any mods installed?

Are you using the original game CDs, or a no-CD crack?

Can you play games OK, as opposed to simming?

When it freezes while simming the AAA game, do you know which teams are playing at that point? If so, try playing a game with those teams, see if it works.

Gamed worked as normal with no mods. I do have the cd but use the no-cd crack bcuz my player acts ups on occasion.

I only had the Ultimate Roster and 2007 schedule loaded for quite a while and completed a whole dynasty season. I then update to new rosters & 2008 schedule. It still freezes when I tried with new rosters only but does NOT freeze with 2008 schedule & default rosters.

Even if i try to quick sim each game individually on ANY date, it freezes.

If I try to just play a MLB game, it freezes while simming the lower leagues for my team. I can play the game but it will freeze when simming after the game, too.

I haven't tried playing the AAA game yet, but it does not freeze on the same game or date each time. Sometimes it will sim ok for a few games but will still freeze up even if I sim one day or game at a time.

MVPmods.com can not and does not condone or support the use of NO-CD cracks, illegally downloaded copies of the game, or other such matieral. This is for legal reasons, and is non-negotiable.

If you actually do have the CD's, try using those (and hoping your cd-rom doesn't "act up"). If this solves the problem - you know the no-CD crack IS your problem. If it doesn't - then we will know where to progress on trying to solve your problem.

Yes, I've tried it with the actual cd and the problem persists.

Again, I never had the issue previously (cd or no-cd) and played a full dynasty season without any glitches. Only until I updated with new roster & 2008 schedule did it start to occur.

I am also having this problem. I am using the cd. I have the MLB 07 mod and am using kgbaseball's 08 roster 5.1. No other mods.

I can play the minor league games, but when I choose to sim through them, the game tends to freeze.

I have read throughout the forums that this is a roster issue, and that there is a way to fix it using MVPedit. However, I haven't seen a post that details the steps to do this.

If someone out there can offer up these steps, I am sure many people will be very appreciative.

I am getting the same problem, I played dynasty with the the 07 schedule and I had no problems. Now I have the 08 schedule and it keeps freezing when I sim games, or even when I finish a game it will freeze when going to the main page after a game. What else I can do, I have already played about 30 games and I do not want to delete my season and play with the 07 schedule.

By the way, love what you guys do, I have MLB the show for PS3, but I rather play mvp, it's just a better gameplay. Any news on MVP 08 I was told it would be comming really soon, any release date as of yet?
