Matt Harvey Chronicles...

Harvey's debut very solid

Innings Pitched- 6.1

11 Hits Allowed

1 Earned Run

1 Run

0 BB

6 K's

1.42 ERA

Win 1-0

Harvey certainly didn't pitch his best, but he prevented them from scoring runs, which is what wins you games. He worked his way out of many jams, and had the double play ball play a big factor in the win. He is 1-0 in AA pitching.

Edit: Posted wrong video, will fix it shortly

Thanks to Kikix, there is a new layout for the call up!

Matt took a step back in his second start in AA. The bats were mashing his pitches after six innings, and the manager admitted he left Matt in too long. He should have left after six, but went out for the seventh and let up three runs. He finished with a no decision. Next start will hopefully be much better.

Let's gonna see if he reach MLB this season

If he dominates AA like he did A, it's possible. But he's not doing to good so far. But anything is possible. :D Especially with that sweet new layout someone cool made.

Harvey's third start in AA ball is beginning now! For the year in A and AA, He is 7-1, a 1.95 ERA, 77 SO's in 83 innings, and 8.35 K's per 9.

Update this start shortly.

Harvey settles down in third start

mattharveycopy-1.jpg

Harvey went six strong innings, with the K ball really working. The bats, as they have regularly against him, were getting hits, but he works his way out of jams wonderfully. The pen blew this one for him, and he ended up with a no decision.

Harvey pitches gem, gets win

mattharveycopy-2.jpg

Harvey went six strong, fanning seven. He did not allow any runs, and got a win for his efforts. The six hits collected were all isolated, and Harvey had his best AA outing.

Two Struggling teams swap struggling players~

The Los Angelas Angels Announced the Following trade

Chone Figgins

Gary Matthews Jr.

To Dodgers for:

Andruw Jones

Jones was torn apart by the Dodger fans, but he still will have the same harsh media. He is doing very poorly, but the Angels are optimistic that when paired with Vlad and Torii he will return to form. He is hitting 248 with 17 HRs, and 57 RBIs. His first goal is to lose some weight he told me.

Harvey is kicking some you know what!!! To bad the Halos are down, but maybe he can get called up for a start or two, to get his feet wet at the end of the season.

hehe, thats could very well be the case since it appears the Halos will have nothing to play for. Hopefully getting Andruw will turn them around a little. If not, maybe we will see the Dontrelle Willis factor is Harvey gets the call.

-Harvey hits wall in sixth

mattharveycopy-3.jpg

Harvey showed signs of a tired arm, after five brilliant innings, he looked awful in the sixth. He let up four hits, one run, and got no strikeouts after five innings of 8 SO ball. The hitters were jumping on his fastball, which lost about 2 MPH of velocity. This may be a cause for concern to the Angels, similar to the Clay Bucholtz scenario in Boston. His innings may have to be limited from here on out. All in all, it was still a great start, and he got the win to improve to 9-1 combined in A and AA

Harvey misses scheduled start as a precaution

-The Arkansas Travelers gave Harvey an extra five days rest. There is no need to rush a talented arm like his, and the team assures it is nothing serious. Harvey was not available for comment, but he practiced with the team regularly. The Travelers lost 9-6 in the game he was supposed to pitch.

Maybe soon on AAA?

THe way he has pitched all year, he deserves it. But his innings are getting up there, he may get shut down in September.
