Maestro23
With the modem installed, should be able to get some info under Device Manager. Right Click My Computer Properties Hardware Tab Device Manager Modem
Homer
yep, i've done that. and i'm trying to use the driver update option with no luck since i have no cd, nor idea the make and model of the card so i can't google it.

Homer
figured out it was this: tiger jet network 128k isdn adapter downloaded the driver, and now i don't know what to do with it. there's no installer. i ran the driver updater and it didn't find anything. damn i hate this. BigPaPa
Does it come up as an unknown device? or Just not at all?
Homer
comes up under other devices. it's listed as "PCI Simple Communications Controller". of course it's got the yellow question mark next to it.
BigPaPa
and you have the driver for it? EDIT: Also im assuming your running XP. This hardware is not vista compatible.
Homer
if that download is right, then yes, i have the drive downloaded. no luck installing it yet.
BigPaPa
That thing you downloaded is not the Driver. It is a ISDN TO U adapter. (these have to do with how it interfaces with the phone line not your computer) From what i can tell you got a dud this company refuses to provide drivers for your interface and OS. It just assumes it should work. Have you tried selecting it from the add hardware menu?
Maestro23
BigPaPa is probably right. The site says the Tiger Jet driver is on the the Win 2000/XP CD. Have you checked your XP CD?
BigPaPa
it does provide drivers for types of phone formats used outside the US but not ISDN
