m0ng0
I just discovered the 1994 mod last night and absolutely love it ! Thanks to all who worked so hard on it. I am playing with the Rockies and I would like to use Coors Field instead of Mile High, is there a way I can swap them? Thanks again for this! Absolutely awesome ! Jim825
This is easy to do. Simply grab your Coors Field files (coorday.big and coornite.big) and copy them to the data stadium folder of your 1994 installation. The text in the game on the stadium selection screen will still say "Mile High Stadium" and the selection screen previews will show the Mile High Stadium pictures, however, when you play, you will be in Coors Field. Homer
yeah, that sounds like a good start. and when you're ready to tackle the select screen and the in game text, we can work with that too.
m0ng0
do I need to replace the mile high stadium or just add coors field?
BigPaPa
you could add coors field instead of another stadium if you prefer but no you cant add another stadium slot.
Homer
each team only gets two stadiums, a day and a night version. if you replace those files jim mentioned, you will replace the stadiums for colorado. if you want coors field instead of mile high, simply get a copy of coors fileds and do as he says. m0ng0
hmmm....I looked in the stadiums folder of my mvp1994 and could not find a mile high stadium file or anything that looked remotely close to it, so I changed a double a stadium to coors field but every game I gotta scroll across a billion stadiums each time :-/
MarkB
If you're trying to replace the default stadium file that the Rockies use in MVP 1994, then you need to over-write the coorday.big and coornite.big files inside the datastadium folder with the Coors Field files you want to use - for example, the stock EA ones from your CD, or ones you've downloaded from here. Once you've done that, start a game with the Rockies as the Home team. It may still say "Mile High Stadium" at the stadium select screen, but the stadium you'll use will be Coors Field. As Homer said, you can update the name in the stadium select screen later.

I thought that coors field was the one I added, I assumed it would be labeled mileday.big or something like that, this all makes sense now, sorry I am a little slow......thank you all, I can't wait to get home so I can start my reigtn of terrow with the Blake Street Bombers !! MarkB
Nope, the name of the file that the game uses is hard-coded into the EXE file and can't be changed, so the stadium files are just renamed to what the game is looking for. Enjoy! :)
