Yardmen88
I got them on automatic pickoff return. I still press down to try and send them back however sometimes it freezes and bam I get picked off? Is anyone else experiencing this? It happens probably once every game or so. I must lead the dynasty in pickoffs. Thanks for your help in advance. xiberger
Have you tried setting the option to "manual pickoff return"?
MarkB
I've had this since I got the game, and it truly pisses me off to no end. I also have a habit of pressing the retreat button even though I use automatic returns, but it's so frustrating knowing that anyone with a functioning brain stem could return to the base in time to beat a lame pickoff throw, yet your baserunner just stands there, then dives back to the base like a spastic 2 years after the fielder has received the ball. Happens a lot at second base, and the CPU pitcher definitely takes advantage of the snap pickoff that human players can't use. Only solution is to use manual returns, but this isn't too much better. The reactions are petty delayed.
Kayxero
Actually i do fine on manual. I just make sure i read the pitchers legs really well. With the tap of my analog im back ahead of the pitcher every time. UNLESS the cpu does something cheap like, after i foul a pitch off or after a lil reply of a swing they will throw it very quickly since your lead does not automatically go back to the original set. Its happened on a number of occasions so i can tell the cpu takes advantage of this lil window where i might not be paying attention for like 1 second. Other than that manual works fine for me.
