Ok. I was successful in installing my portrait into the game.

However, it's all black except for my face, which is a little on the darker side.

I did everything correctly, but here's the question about the source photo I used.

The pic I took is of me, wearing my SF hat and Giants jersey.

I was standing in front of a white wall when the pic was took.

Could that have anything to do with the pic coming out wrong after installation?

I included the source pic for anyone who knows can see.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not a photographer, but just from a quick glance I can see that the lighting for this photo is terrible. If this is the photo you inserted in your game then I can see why it didn't turn out well.

Yeah. I forgot to mention that the pic was took with a camera phone.

Maybe if I enabled the flash' feature it would turn out better?

There's your problem right there. Do you know anyone with a digital camera that can help you out? You can take your photo against that nice, white backdrop but you need a lot better quality. Go digital all the way and then repeat your steps and you will be all set.

You are a very shaggy man... wish i could grow a beard like that. Alas, my school doesn't allow it. Yes, I reccomend useing the flash

Most seven year olds can't grow beards.

What the the blue funk is that a photo of?

Oh, and Caliboyrob - are you saying the photo just looks crappy (low-quality) in the game, OR, are you saying you actually can't really make it out at all in the game (as in, it's totally distorted, not just low-quality)?

Just low quality in the game...

I went and picked up a good video camera that takes pics, plus plays mp3 for only $40 off craigslist...what a deal. So maybe that would end my woes, so to speak lol

Of course! But I took that pic at like, 10pm last night....heheh

I have another digital camera around here somewhere (I just recently moved) and I misplaced the pc cord a long time ago, plus I had to get new batteries for it...Now that I have the accessories, I can't find the camera...lol

I brightened the photo in photoshop and altered a couple things on it, then reinstalled it.

Works perfectly in the game.

Now, I just need help on 2 more things.

I changed the face on my new player, because he was black.

How do I change the skin color on the arms.

Also, I have John Bowker in my lineup (From AAA I believe)

It has his pic, but no audio.

Can someone please look up his ID#.

The MVP Edit I have only opens up .mbe files, so I don't know what to do.

That way, I can do some audio editing and have the PBP announcers speak his name.

Thanks!

Yeah I finally got MVP Edit working...was missing some files beforehand...

Unfotunately, tho...Bowker's ID, according to MVP 07, is #8857...I went to extract the .dat files, but there are none there, which was not a surprise, since his name is not announced by the PA or the PBP announcers.

I haven't figured out how to successfully add his own audio.

I tried, but I think there might have to be .dat files in order for MOSX to do it properly.

Where did you download MOSX?
