Kanga-Kucha
One rule I would love to hav is, like with stikes and balls, a player is allowed to foul someday times until they get out, like if they foul 5 times, they "foul out" and another battle takes his place, or the inings ends. I think it would speed up the game a bit, and we wouldnt have a sinario with a play fouling over and over until he stikes out, or gets a hit. The way it is now is like playing Cricketball without the no ball rule, if ya know what I mean. I'd also like to have a bit more of the rules the Japanese use in their baseball, like ties in regular season games. and I wish they was a way to expand the playoffs to be like the NFL playoffs, it would make the MLB so much more competivie to have more rounds, but like the frist and second round be a best of 5 game series, and the AL and NL champ, and thew world series be a best of 7 series. what y'all think? would this improve MLB? Jim825
Are you talking about making these changes in the MVP2005 game or in the real Major League baseball? The reason I'm asking is because you posted this in the MVP Baseball 2005 > Support forum. If you want to make these changes in the game, then it is not possible, since the rules are hard coded into the game. If you are talking about making these changes in real Major League baseball, then: A. This is in the wrong forum B. You probably need to contact Bud Selig :D

Kanga-Kucha
Nobody EVER wants to see ties in professional sports; what a bad way to decide a game. I disagree, ties happen, and they make it less likly the stadings will end in a tie. regular season games should end in ties, but playoff games shouldnt, for ovious reasons. although hats off to the MLB, at least you guys and the end of the season, if there is a tie in the standings, you will have a one game playoff, I wish other leagues would do that. and I wish most professional leagues would have the Crossover, which is a rule the CFL does, in which if a team in one conference has a better record that the lowest seeded playoff team in the other conference, they take their place in the playoffs. EA will get it back, like with Madden I alsi get my NHL games from EA, but my NBA games from 2K Sports

BigRog
yeah but I doubt they will make it for PC if that happens. They already stopped making madden for PC. From rumors going around online, Ea's PC division is taking a huge cut in what they produce.

It's like EA is forcing everyone to go console now. well that sucks, cuz I hav stopped buying console games, I;m getting too old to do it aymore, and they are getting too expersive for me to continue buying them. Hopfully they will release Maddan 09 and NHL 09 for the PS-2, and those will be the last games for it, or I'll hav to settle for 08, as I have for NBA 2K8. and I'll tell yeah, I hope NHL 09 is like MLB 2005, the minor league system is amazing, and I wish they did it for NHL, but with more of a madden twist as you can edit teams before starting a season. BigPaPa
PC gaming is not dieing, PC sports games are dieing and the reasoning is actually fairly simple. Since this game is not targeted at the Hardcore PC gaming community, AKA like WoW is, but the sports fan community. The people interested in buying it are not going to have super computers, or even decent ones a lot of the time. So moving over to console will improve the quality of the game by giving it a uniform platform. In PC games tehy want to keep minimum system req low so they sell mroe games on a Console they don't have to worry, they know exactly what they are working with. Kccitystar
You guys are aware that 2K's MLB development team has dissolved, right? Rumor has it that Visual Concepts will take over for the 2K9 series and beyond, without Mr. Brinkman.

cricket??
i think a penalty shootout situation would be great in baseball, its great in soccer (football) and even cricket has adopted it for certain games(shorter) in cricket the pitchers(bowlers) each take ago at hitting the wickets with there pitch, it great because once when watching pakistan vs india (red sox vs yankees in cricket sense but more political) pakistan tried to use the faster pitches and missed whereas the indians used their batters to pitch who were slowwer and more time to aim and hit the wickets. now imagine the boston vs nyy both equal, passed the extra inning, 5 pitcher must take a go at hitting a fixed strike zone target made from wood, keeps on going till some one misses. wait ive just converted the baseball strikezone into cricket wickets soz:(
