BigPaPa
i think a penalty shootout situation would be great in baseball, its great in soccer (football) and even cricket has adopted it for certain games(shorter) in cricket the pitchers(bowlers) each take ago at hitting the wickets with there pitch, it great because once when watching pakistan vs india (red sox vs yankees in cricket sense but more political) pakistan tried to use the faster pitches and missed whereas the indians used their batters to pitch who were slowwer and more time to aim and hit the wickets. now imagine the boston vs nyy both equal, passed the extra inning, 5 pitcher must take a go at hitting a fixed strike zone target made from wood, keeps on going till some one misses. wait ive just converted the baseball strikezone into cricket wickets soz:( your effing crazy
Kanga-Kucha
PC gaming is not dieing, PC sports games are dieing and the reasoning is actually fairly simple. Since this game is not targeted at the Hardcore PC gaming community, AKA like WoW is, but the sports fan community. The people interested in buying it are not going to have super computers, or even decent ones a lot of the time. So moving over to console will improve the quality of the game by giving it a uniform platform. In PC games tehy want to keep minimum system req low so they sell mroe games on a Console they don't have to worry, they know exactly what they are working with. damn
Kanga-Kucha
You guys are aware that 2K's MLB development team has dissolved, right? Rumor has it that Visual Concepts will take over for the 2K9 series and beyond, without Mr. Brinkman. assuming the get the lience again sounds like 2k9 is gonna be pretty crappy. Baseball should have ties in the regule season, and hav sudden death OT in the playoffs, thats fine.

angryrat
Ties in baseball? Are you crazy? Some of baseball's most thrilling moments come from extra inning ball games. The fact that baseball is "time-less" helps give it a uniqueness amongst games and sports. Limiting the number of foul balls? That's nice in beer league softball, but seriously... the ability to foul a pitch off and fight and wait for your pitch is art and requires mastery of the bat. If someone can repeatedly foul pitches off 6 or 7 times in an at bat, they deserve the credit for doing so.
KidCavalier23
Baseball isn't baseball with all of this stuff you guys are suggesting. I don't see anything wrong with America's Pastime to be honest with you.
