Question about mixing mods / camera angles

Recommended Posts

I am using both the MVP '07 mod, and also True's Datafile.

I love the new behind the catcher angle (Camera 4) from True's datafile, but if possible, I would like to keep the camera angle from the MVP '07 mod for the baserunners. The MVP '07 mod's camera angles for baserunners is a bit lower angle to the ground, and True's is kinda a from above angle.

I'm also using the MLB '08 overlay if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance for any help, you guys here are awesome!

Nevermind for now. :p

I ended up going back to the datafile from MVP '07 and using it's camera 4.

Thanks for the wealth of information in these forums!

Editing a Datafile in General (From another post I made):

The datafile.txt for the 07 Mod is inside the datafile.big. To extract it from the datafile.big, you can use a program called BigGui.

BigGui: http://www.mvpmods.com/Downloads/details/id=1100.html

Once the datafile.txt is extracted it needs to be uncompressed to be edited. You can use a program called eazip (command line) or DF Comp.

DF Comp: http://www.mvpmods.com/Downloads/details/id=164.html

EAzip: http://www.nba-live.com/download/pafiledb....tion=file&id=39

Once the datafile is uncompressed, it can be edited with any type of text editor. Make your changes and save it. Once saved and before it can be used in the game, it must be compressed. Eazip can do this.

Once you have the datafile.txt edited and compressed, it must be copied into the following MVP directory to work: MVP??data

You can also find various datafiles in the Downloads section: www.mvpmods.com/Downloads/c=30.html

For adjusting cameras (batting/pitching/fielding) views, take a look at the following Tutorial:

Some other files to help you understand the datafile:

Thank you very much for the info! I'm moving today, but I'll look into playing with the datafile later tomorrow.

Thanks again!

Looking back, the links seem to just be missing characters. The actual "..." comes up in the link, and not the characters that those dots represent.

Any ideas?
