TheSabathiaEra
i think they did it on purpose so it can be harder.
Onizuka3123
really ? there is a patch or something to change it because i make only bb in the game and the computer hits my pitches easyly when the ball comes into the zone ... can it be a grahical problem? because all around the throwing/pitching meter it's black like a bug i try to reinstall mvp 2005 and then mvp 07 but the problem is still there
Maestro23
The pitching was made harder in the 07 mod on purpose. If you want to change the pitch meter to make it easier, you can do one of two things: 1. Download a different datafile in the Downloads section. 2. Edit the 07 datafile.txt inside the datafile.big Check the following thread on making pitch meter easier: http://www.mvpmods.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=...t=datafile.html

RaptorQuiz
Ooh - it's not the 07 "making it harder" issue... the pitch meter is 100% black. No colored bars at all. What causes that?
Onizuka3123
i don't know... i have try to reinstall the game .. i think that is a graphical problem... i installed the mvp 07 "reboot" version. i never had a problem with mvp 2005 :? Can someone help me?
RaptorQuiz
I was searching thru the forums, and found a few mentions of this "completely black pitching meter" - but was unable to find any SOLUTIONS for it. Does anyone have any clue, to help out Onizuka3123? I saw one person who thought it was caused by a partially installed overlay... you could download a new overlay and try installing that. Like, one of Trues' overlays, etc.
Maestro23
He will have to go in a edit the datafile.txt which is in the datafile.big of the 07 Mod. The link I provided gives the variables to make the pitching meter more like 05. If I remember correctly, in the 07 mod with the default datafile.big some pitchers were completely black, others had a sliver of green. Depending on who was on the mound. His best bet is to edit the datafile to the way he wants it. Can also try someone else's datafile like Trues, MD's, Kumula's. (All very good). RaptorQuiz
The pitching meter isn't too small - it ISN'T WORKING.
Maestro23
The pitching meter isn't too small - it ISN'T WORKING. At all? Has he tried using different pitchers? If it's still the same, then he's got bigger issues. Mine didn't do that on a default 07 install. Hmm... If he wants, I can edit the datafile.txt inside the datafile.big to 05 pitch meter settings for him and post it.
RaptorQuiz
His screen shot seems to show NO color of ANY kind in the pitching meter. It just remains completely black. I know people complained that the GREEN area was too small, making pitching "too hard"... but this is NOT that issue. It doesn't appear to be functioning at all. Maestro23
yes i tried to use different pithers but the pitching meter doesn't work ... where i can find another version of mpv07 ? Try some different datafiles first. These are 2 I've used before. See what they do for ya. Trues' DF: http://www.mvpmods.com/Downloads/details/id=1137.html MD's DF: http://www.mvpmods.com/Downloads/details/id=2780.html The datafile.txt goes into the MVP07data directory. Maestro23
i tried ... it doesn't work That's strange. A datafile.txt file when copied to the Mvp07data folder, should override the settings in the default 07 datafile.big.
Onizuka3123
maybe the problem comes from the installation but i allready tried to reinstall... but i haven't mvp07 repertory
xiberger
I think it's rather an overlay issue. Try installing a different one and see if that fixes the problem.

batwich
Did anyone ever find a real solution to this problem? It's not the overlay or datafile. FTR it's the same problem, a large black rectangle on the motion layer of the meter; I can see the outline of the meter on top of the larger black rectangle. Gordo
got the same thing in the new 08 mod. Definitely not an overlay issue.
Jim825
got the same thing in the new 08 mod. Definitely not an overlay issue. If it's in MVP08, go ask the guys at EAMods about it......
TribeFan4Eva
i tried ... it doesn't work i had this same problem and someone here helped me. there is a file on Disc 2 that you copy over a file in your mvp2005 folder. not sure what the name of the file is, but once you overwrite the old one it works perfect. search here or on eamods and you should find it. when i get home ill look too. Gordo
If it's in MVP08, go ask the guys at EAMods about it...... I'm not trying to fan any flames with whatever went on between the 2 camps. I'm just giving the guy some additional information that may help him here. That's all.

I'm just giving the guy some additional information that may help him here. That's all. I'm not saying you were trying to do this. All I was suggesting is that he check with the EAMods guys if there is an MVP08 issue. They developed the mod and have some lengthy MVPMods support threads on their site. They would probably be able to provide answers quicker for MVP08 issues. If, however, you have a solution to an MVP08 issue, by all means please post it. The main goal here is to help each other.
