Seriously, it's pathetic. Earlier today she and the McCain camp went whining to mommy about how mean everyone is, and how sexist they are, then spend two spittle-spewing hours saying how the black man's gonna kill you, and laughing at the concept of human rights and organizing workers and basic, human decency.

Screaming about Obama? That's not racism, and anyone possibly hinting at such is playing the race card. But asking about the Bridge to Nowhere, her corruption scandals, if McCain vetted her prior to the announcement, the debt she left Wasilla, her lobbyist ties, all the earmarks she received, etc. etc., that's sexist.

People running a Rovian campaign saying how the other side is being unfair. Thank god I live in Massachusetts, where we'll be fine regardless.

Home of one of my heroes Mr. Edward Kennedy. I had a personal chance to meet him and have my picture taken with him, just one week prior to him being diagnosed with brain cancer. It is a picture and encounter I wll forever be proud of.

This was in MI, at a private residence where he was the guest of honor and speaker. Obviously, to do fund raising for Obama.

Republican US Rep Lynn Westmoreland called Obama "Uppity" today.

Obama has raised $8m since Palin's slanderous rant. Help hit $10m by tonight. Remember that when John McCain takes the stage this evening, it signals the moment when public financing kicks in, meaning he is limited in the amount he can spend. Now we all know that he's going to break the law on this the same way he did on public financing late last year, but they at least have to be sneaky about it this time.

Slanderous is right. I find it funny how even she tried to bash Obama's experience as if she could even come close to his. Or even his education for that matter. Seeing as the president is supposed to uphold the constitution, I am glad Obama studied it. And her little remark about Obama being an organizer was just too dumb. Yeah try to belittle all the great things hes done, Mrs governor of a state with less than 950 k people. Not to mention not one major city. Such experience there. I know how she can get that exp. Playing some FF 7. PSX emulator =D lol

he obviously didn't read the memo about code words, you don't call Obama "uppity", you say "elitist".

Hory, you're behind, the new term is "community organizer." They're the damn elitists who try to help people, and are therefore terrorists.

of course, and the irony of Tuesday's RNC theme being that of "Service" just passes the GOP by.

And not that's there's anything wrong with being a community organizer, but wasn't Obama actually a professor and a state Senator at the time Palin was a part-time Mayor?

You mean professor of Constitutional Law at one of the premier universities in the nation, and state senator of one of the largest (population wise, you know, what actually matters) states in the union? Yeah, but he wasn't mayor of the Meth Capital of Alaska, and he didn't actively seek out one of Ted Stevens' lobbyist buddies to get $27m in federal earmarks. Imagine what U Chicago could've done with an extra $27m.

As a total side note, the total number of undergrads and postgrads at the University of Chicago is 2 1/2 times more than the population of Wasilla.

"Vanity Fair editors estimated that [Cindy] McCain's fierce saffron shirt dress with the popped collar, diamond earrings, four-strand pearl necklace, white Chanel watch and strappy shoes totaled up to $313,100."

Thank god we have this nice family to keep us from having an elitist president. While John McCain was born to a nice American middle class family (since every middle class kid has an Admiral as his father), Cindy was born into an already rich beer family. Meanwhile, that elitist Obama was born to an elitist interracial lower-middle class family and raised by his WW2 vet grandfather and grandmother.

Damn elitists.

Did you know that John McCain was a POW? John McCain was a POW. John McCain was a POW when he was in Vietnam, where he was a POW. John McCain, who was a POW, doesn't like to talk about how he was a POW.

Duh Sean, POW stands for Proving One's Worth! Being a POW gives you automatic super-experience that can be redeemed when running for the presidency, and people eat it up!

"“I told [biden] I’m not going to vote for him,†Bauer said. “Anybody who runs with a guy with a name like that is not going to get my vote. It’d be disgusting to get a man named Barack Obama as president of the United States. No way. I mean it … I’m going to vote for McCain and the lady.â€

“[Obama's] a Muslim,†Bauer added. “He pretends to be a Christian, and he isn’t, he’s a Muslim.â€

-----------------------------

"McCain worked his way up to me and Cat and as I shook his hand, I asked, "Sir, I respect your service but, why were you against the GI bill?" Senator McCain, paused, he looked a bit surprised at the question and then he said, "Nice to meet you." I repeated the question and he repeated his non-answer. He quickly worked his way down the line. So much for straight-talk!"

This actually happened after last night's debate - McCain attempted to get around the table to meet moderator Bob Schieffer, but McCain went one way and Schieffer went the other. McCain then did the crazy dance, seemingly attempting to make a joke of the scenario.

And now, the jokes begin.

I have to admit, I was planning on recording the debate when it's shown here tonight, then deleting it, but I might keep a copy of it just for McCain's crazy dance.

As you can probably imagine, some places on the internet are doing much, much worse things with this image...however, they won't be getting posted here.

Hopefully. :lmao:

EDIT - And for anyone familiar with the WHARRGARBL picture;

Just curious, is there some sort of historical significance to the coloring in this poster? It looks oddly familiar to me, like its been done before.

Or is it just a simple patriotic r/w/b, or something to do with bipartisanship (red/blue), or just a Barack that'll jump out at you when you're wearing your special goggles?

It does look familiar to another poster. Wasn't there a similar poster in which someone was looking in a similar way using similar colors but not necesarily the same colors? I thought it kind of reminded me of a historical figure that many people looked up to but I'm not sure.

It must be the celebrity thing. Jealousy will make you say the wackiest things.

Would Powell accept a role in Obama's administration such as Secretary of State if offered? And how likely would it be for Obama to offer it? He has experience and I think he can do a good job. However, I'm not sure if it would be a popular thing to do in the eyes of Dems since I'm not sure whether or not if Powell is viewed as one of the few people behind going into Iraq. But, I think in trying to distance himself from Bush, I personally don't think that would be an issue if it did come up. Any thoughts?

BBC.co.uk article on McCain's bus tour.

So, while Obama is taking time out of his campaign at a critical time to visit his sick grandmother in Hawaii, McCain is touring Florida in a gas-guzzling bus while spouting catchphrases about saving money, lowering gas prices, making the economy better, reducing taxation and slandering Obama. Oh, and by the way, the McCain campaign has also commissioned making automated phone calls to voters in key states to promote his campaign and highlighting Obama's so-called terrorist links.

This guy disgusts me more every time I read another article about him.

Shepard Fairey uses a lot of reds in his paintings, he added blue because Obama is a Democrat

Just a reminder to loyal supporters, that Barack Hussein Obama is going to be the next president of the United States. It's been a day and a half and I still can't believe it.

How many folks around here supported him from the beginning? My fiance was originally a Kucinich supporter, and my mother was originally (and devotedly) for Hillary. I'm proud to have been on the hopemobile since the second he announced.
