jsou4646
I was just wondering what most guys use for a camera view. I am new to this board but have been reading through this forum for the last couple weeks waiting for my copy of mvp to arrive. I have been playing this game on my xbox until I found this site a couple weeks ago. I always use the view behind the pitcher, to me this is the most realistic view there is. In my opinion, in order for a baseball game to feel as realistic as possible it must have that view. In that view you have to react to a fastball pick up the offspeed and using that view allows the real physics to show in facing a pitcher. The behind the catcher view gives you too much time to react and also pick up the break on a ball, good for real life but not a video game. Now I'm not a pro but I did get drafted by the Giants in 98 and 99 as a pitcher, but ended up having surgery and never signing. Enough about that, but that's why I love the behind the pitcher view it feels like a real battle between pitcher and hitter, at least as real as a video game can. I have noticed a lot of things about freezing and that does scare me, but I really think the upside to all the editing is worth it. Hope to share and learn as much as possible from you veterans out there. thanks josh
MarkB
Josh Souza, RHP, 36th round pick in 1998 and 49th round in 1999, drafted out of Turlock HS and Modesto JC, California? Welcome to the site man. I used to use EA's default behind the pitcher view for pitching and the default batting view, but I'm now using this raised straight behind the pitcher view. Excuse the old screenshot, it's from '06 when Phil Hughes was still in Trenton.
jsou4646
yea that's me, I really like that screen shot, the view looks great. How did you get that setting. Also do you have any videos of game play with that view, or if anyone else does can ou direct me to them as well. I should get the game mid next week but I am dieing to see some game play videos. I used the search function for videos, but couldn't really find anything thanks in advance.
MarkB
One of the guys from the forums made it for himself but was having some trouble with it when he first made it, so he posted his issue on the forums. He figured out what the problem was and sorted it, and kindly put his camera into the EA datafile for me. It's a great pitching camera, lets you see exactly where the ball crosses the plate, so you get more accurate strike zone judgement, and have the advantage of being able to see how close a pitch is to the strike zone. There aren't really too many videos around here. There are a couple that members have posted on YouTube etc., but none that I know of are actually hosted here. jsou4646
The choppiness is fine, i fixed it, the game looks insane with the 07 mod. Tomorrow I am getting a controller, just a little tough to play with the keyboard. When hitting do you have to hold up and towards the hitter to hit for power as it is in the console version. Asking because I hit a HR with Frank Thomas by just swing without holding anything, it was on rookie. I have played about 1000 games on the xbox with my updated rosters and if the game play on the pc is even close to the console, this game will be unbelievable with it's graphics and presentation. thanks for the respnse

jwheels
Does anyone know of a download for just camera angles that are similiar to High Heat, I also beleive these are the same camera's in MadDad's data file 3.1. All I am looking for are the camera's not anything to really change game play. Thanks
