MVP 2007 - Insert Correct CD?

I just downloaded and installed the MVP 2007 mod but when i try to run it, it tells me to insert the correct CD-ROM. I think it might be because i have images and not the actual disk.

Any idea how i can fix it?

Images will work if they were backed up correctly, I've used images since day one so I would not damage the real discs.

and 3 years later instead of damaging the discs I have completely lost them

I couldn't find the game anywhere so a friend of mine made a copy of the discs. I don't have a credit card or anything to buy the game online with.

I guess he done it wrong.

Is there any way around this?

EDIT: Downloaded a no-cd patch for '05 and it worked.

What kind of roster issues? Mixed up players?

I have noticed one weird thing with MVP 07. Larry Walker (In my dynasty he plays on my team, STL Cardinals) but he has a white mans body and black mans head. Lol it looks pretty funny, nothing that affects the game just looks a little odd.

The reason for that is that you started a dynasty (with Larry Walker in the rosters) and then updated to the 07 mod, which doesn't include Walker. Therefore, Walker's face isn't correct anymore, since it's slot is now occupied by another player.

Is this something you can talk about doing (backing up actual physical discs for your own use) or is that prohibited from the board as well? I bought the discs from someone quite a while back, but with the amount these go for I am also worried about them being damaged, and if someone could help me with creating my own personal backup it'd be great.

If that's off limits, no problem, I don't know a ton about what the difference is between that and what someone might consider "illegal", but I figured I'd ask.

Mikeybags, check out this thread right here. This guy goes into great detail on how to back up your original discs. And it is perfectly legal.

Cool, thanks Y4L. I should have searched first but had never seen this mentioned before. Also didn't realize I had bumped a month old thread until after I made the post.

Don't you worry about that. I always do my best to help out a TPG guy.
