i got a new computer and when i downloaded mvp edit and clicked on the icon to start it, i get the following error message "component 'mscomctl.ocx' or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered. a file is missing or invalid". i never had any problems using mvp edit before - this is a first

i saw some posts regarding a different .ocx error message ( it was a dll command line) and not the mscomctl.ocx error message. i did about the same thing as was on that post with that message. i googled the mscomctl.ocx and got on a ms site. it mentioned to download a 6.0 version of a program, but it wouldn't install

sorry to be a pain. i've used mvp edit for a long time with no problems, but since i got this new computer and am re-installing all of my programs, i seem to have problems. as i mentioned in my previous post, i did get mvp edit to work and open. i transferred all of my mvp files including my custom roster file which i named MLB2007.mbe. when i open mvp edit, click open, and click on my .mbe roster, it tells me it can't recognize the file format .mbe. i've searched the forums and didn't find any questions like this, but i may not have searched enough. btw - i'm using mvp edit 2006.2
