pistonj92
What is the eligibility? I was thinking it might be no MLB exp. but Hessman was called up and played last year.
kjuggs
I was going to say they have to be an amateur, but that's the old rule, like with Will Clark and mark McGwire, I beleive, in the 80's... Could it be anybody, including pros, but MLB is not willing to give up its best players during the stretch run? I think that's it...
realblackhart
The only reason the mlb players can't play is because it is during the regular season, and GMs and manager are not going to let their best players go. but if they were allowed by their teams to go they would, and it would be a lot more competitive with the best players in the majors playing in the Olympics. DerekJ
Well I had listened that the MLB would stop the season if Chicago or Tokyo win the organisations of the Olympics games in 2016. Will see PD Japan another favourite team to win medals has not announced yet
dostlfan5
basically its up to each organization whether or not to let their players go, which is why must of the higher profile pitching prospects are not going....it will be cool to see rasmus play on tv though....i was hoping to see him up in stl by now but luddy and skip are playing so well

DerekJ
US complete the roster with Jayson Nix Also named to the team are Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Jeremy Cummings, Minnesota Twins pitcher Brian Duensing and San Francisco Giants outfielder Nate Schierholtz. The three players were added as replacements for Chicago White Sox pitcher Clayton Richard and San Francisco Giants pitcher Geno Espineli -- both of whom were recently called-up by their Major League clubs -- and St. Louis Cardinals OF Colby Rasmus who is injured. DerekJ
Cuba beat 5:4 US in a great game the game was decided with the IBAF rule when both teams reaches to the 11th the away team put two men on bases and have 3 out to score following the line up order I mean you can put 1st and 2nd hitters on bases and the 3th come to the plate or put 9th and 1st hitter and sac bunt with the 2nd I dont like this rule, what do you think
Kayxero
I dont follow. Could someone explain this rule. Im curious to what he is trying to convey.
SESbb30
when the 11th inning starts, the batting team starts with runners on 1st and 2nd base and no outs. but the line up has to stay the same, but you can start from whatever spot in the line up you want, say you want the 4 hole to hit, you put the 2nd and 3rd hitters on first and second, but what he's saying is put the 9 hitter assuming he is fast, and the 1st hitter on first and second, then sac bunt them to 2nd and 3rd, so you have your big sticks coming up with runners in scoring position with 1 out.
