This may sound like a dumb question

Clean install means the original MVP Baseball 2005 game without any mods.

Search the forums for instructions on how to install multiple versions (07, TC9, WBC, etc.) of the game.

After installing MVP2005 and before installing the 1988 mod, you should also install the MVP2005 patch of your choice (patch #2 or higher). That's what we've been recommending for all the Total Classics mods.

and when i do this, as i have done for the other mods, i still get this crash, on the detroit home, day and night games, i hate missing out ont his mod, im at a lost though, ive tryed and tryed, and it's not working.

my method...

1. fresh install mvp05- patch number 2

2. select the folder, install the mod, using the installer

3. rename the folder and exe's

4. launch game, runs fine, select detroit home, day or night, vs texas, choose the default uni's, game loads a beuatiful tiger stadium :), goes through the line up's, batter up, 3 outs, the line ups show, for detroit, and then....

ctd,so i dunno, ive done this same install method, for 1956,78,94,tc9, soo.... i dunno, i choose othe rteams and the game runs fine, and for some reason, it is real grainy on the field, i mean, it's weird, so i just have it sitting on my destop, trying to think of things to fix it. dunno, that overlay is awsome ;), so i can smile bout that!, you put ya foot in that true's. :)

I'm not sure what the problem could be Basesloaded. Did you uninstall the resolution changer? It only happens with Detroit and Texas? Do you mean the field looks grainy in every stadium?

I currently have 5 different versions of MVP installed with shortcuts and everything.

TC 1967

TC 1978

TC 1988

MVP 07

And a “Clean” version of the original 2005.

You can theoretically have the game installed as many times as you want using different directories. Here is how I do it.

• Install a “clean” version to the default directory

• C:/programfiles/easports/mvpbaseball

• After installing a conversion mod such as Total Classics 1988 rename the /mvpbaseball2005 directory to whatever you like i.e.: /mvpbaseball1988 to avoid confusion or copying.

To avoid confusion I have shortcuts from each directory renamed for that particular directory to execute the mvp2005.exe... i.e; (rename after creating the shortcut)

[ul]TC 1978[/ul] is a desktop shortcut for the [ul]mvp2005.exe[/ul] file in my MVP Baseball 1978 directory.

[ul]TC 1967[/ul] is a desktop shortcut for the mvp2005.exe file in my MVP Baseball [ul]1967[/ul] directory.

Any subsequent conversions mods installed are once again installed over a “clean” copy of the original. Just reinstall MVP 2005 to it's default directory.

There are many ways to do approach having multiple conversion mods available. This is just the method I use.

I hope this helps anyone interested in installing multiple Conversion Mods.

There's an easier way to do this without having to reinstall MVP2005 from the CD's everytime. Here's are the steps I followed:

1. Install MVP2005 and install the appropriate patch.

2. Under the Program Files EA Sports folder, create a new subfolder called "Default Install".

3. Copy everything from the Program Files EA Sports MVP Baseball 2005 folder to the Program Files EA Sports Default Install

You now have a clean, patched version in the Default Install folder. Never make any changes to the contents of this folder.

Now when you want to install a new classics single season mod do the following (using Total Classics 1988 as an example):

1. Create a new folder under the Program Files EA Sports folder (for example, Program Files EA Sports Total Classics 1988).

2. Copy the contents of the Default Install folder to Total Classics 1988 folder.

3. When you run the Total Classics 1988 installer, set it up to install the mod into the Program Files EA Sports Total Classics 1988 folder (or copy the files to that folder if you install manually).

By doing things this way, you don't have to pull your disks out each time, re-enter your CD key, etc.

Can you provide more information?

Does this happen if other teams play against the Tigers in Tiger Stadium?

Who is pitching for Texas, and what who is in the batting order?

Have you tried the same pitcher and batting order combination for Texas against another team (e.g. Texas at Boston, Texas at New York, etc.)?
