maddux31
I don't know what type (brand) of controller you purchased, but to save yourself alot of headache and compatiblity issues I would go to Best buy or a store of that nature and purchase a Logitech game controller. I have bought 2 and each time the EA logo was on the controller. This is the controller that EA recommends for their games and I have never has a problem, not to mention you will have a reciept and won't have to pay for s/h and have to wait for another one. I love this particular controller as well, very comfortable and inexpensive. I think it is like maybe $5.00 more if you want the one that rumbles. But either way, that's the one I personally would suggest, not to mention EA suggest as well. Good luck, let us know what you ended up doing...And have fun playing MVP and in case I hadn't already welcome to a great community!!!
StormsWarning
logitechs break to easy with use, i've been through 2 of them, get a 360 controller, ill send you my config file, and be done with D., the are all kinds of controllers to use, ppl swear by this and that, bottom line you'll have to make ya choice on that, but if i was you, i'd get the 360 controller ( wired ) version. i've heard, the wireless wors good to, but im only speaking of what i have. maddux31
I have had both of my Logitechs for over 3 years and neither of them have broke. Ironically I also have the 360 controller (the windows one) and it is not nearly as compatable for MVP. Trust me on this. But ultimately the decision is yours to make. Like I said I tried switching over to the 360 because someone like the previos poster suggested it and it was a pain for use with MVP. Look on the packaging and you will see that Logitech is specifically recommended for use with EA sports games. Not to mention on the back of your jewel case, and inside the instruction manual everything is mapped out for use with a logitech controller. Again, this is just my opinion and also EA's on which controller to use.
StormsWarning
well, i dunno, alot of people did have alot of problems, with mapping there controller, and i remeber alot of profiles, screwed up, becaus epeople didnt knwo what they were doing, but as i said, with mine, i have np's, my controller is mapped, just as a ps2 orignal, so buttons are assigned just as the gr8 logitech, but my repounse time, is alot better imo, opposed to th elogitech, i had, ya choice D. EASPORTSGUY
Hey D, I use a PS2 controller and a Logitech DUAL ACTION controller. I need to get a Logitech Rumblepad 2 Vibration Feedback Gamepad. The two that I use now don't vibrate! :(
