Black box pitch meter SOLUTION!

Special thanks to okayperson for this.

Okay... I think I just figured it out.

I did a fresh install of MVP 08, but this time I used the full disc image of CD2 (I didn't feel like digging around in the basement for the hard copy.) Last time I used the mini-image since I thought they'd serve the same purpose. However, MVP 08 installer doesn't just use CD2 to verify that you have the game, it actually pulls data from it.

So my recommendation is to re-install '08 using the CDs or your full backup images.

Makes sense, since the installer actually installs the game from the CDs then copies the files necessary from the '08 archive file into the new installation.

My solution (or maybe it was just luck) was renaming the the ".tit" file to ".7z". I also used my original CD's to install. Since the pitch meter was high on the screen and I still used view 1 to pitch, I simply copied my "ingame.big" file from my 07 mod where I had already fixed it to come down closer to the strike zone area.

Is there any way to fix/change the size of the pitch meter green spot, because on the MVP 08 mod it seems to be really small...

You can edit the datafile or the easier method would be to d/l the Bigger Pitch Meter Mod over at mlbmods.com
