coldcell
My SP's happiness is grey. Not happy but not unhappy.. how can I make him happy? I gave him imporved contract but he is still not happy. Is this because I started him 3 games in a row? Also, how to make my pitcher hit? I know it usually doesnt happen but I want to hit with my pitcher :)
TheBaseballer
:reddot: Your pitcher "doesn't hit" because of the DH Rule... There's something in yourMVP options called: "DH Rule". You can choose wich DH rule you want. "DH Rule: AL only"... Only the NL pitchers will hit! "DH Rule: NL Only"... Only the AL pitchers will hit! "Dh Rule: Both"... You should know about it! "DH Rule: None"... .. By the way: DH = Designated Hitter Stay Cool People! :D

MarkB
Don't worry about it, he'll hate you enough when he goes on the D.L. for the 7th time in the year with a torn rotator cuff. He won't have to tell you.
wichart
Don't worry too much about your player's happiness. It depends on things other than the amount of money you're paying him. For instance, if he's designated as an "MLB Ace" and you have him in the bullpen or in AAA, he'll be unhappy. Even worse, if he gets injured and can't play for a while (through no fault of yours), he'll complain about his playing time shortly after he comes off the DL. I think the programmers dropped the ball on that one. On the topic of pitchers hitting, TheBaseballer's answer doesn't take into account the fact that the game won't let you use a pitcher as a pinch hitter or pinch runner in either league. Some pitchers hit quite well (Mike Hampton, Micah Owings), and their managers actually use them as pinch hitters in real games. On the flip side, a position player is sometimes brought in to pitch an inning, which the game also doesn't allow. Has anyone created a mod to fix these errors?
