bushywhacker
Yo fellow MVPers!!!! I just discovered this site. I have a question that may have been answered here before, but I've looked and can find nothing on it. I'm playing in dynasty mode and I'd like my home ballpark to be one of the classic stadiums...how is this done? Is it as simple as just renaming the file??? Thanks in advance!!! mooseknucks
i'm sure there's something in the .dat files or using mvpstudio that you could use to switch them up. i'll get back to you once i look into it.
stecropper
Yes, by renaming the files in the Stadium directory does it. However, there will be a few glitches by doing this - such as players appearing to be sitting in the grass versus the dugouts at times, replays being non visible at times and pitchers warming up in weird places ..... but the physics and game play appear to be just fine. Moose...just curious if you've looked into it. It'd be nice to just assign a specific team a "new" classic stadium using mvpstudio or something. This instead of seeing the "weird" things stecropper mentioned. Thanks!
mooseknucks
i'm 99% sure mvpstudio is the way to go. i haven't the time to open mvpstudio and check out indefinetely but the last time i had it open, i remembered seeing something like that. you might want to ask Fuzz about this one, he'd be better suited to field this one. danc
here is how i do it for what it is worth. i have asked fuzzone about it several times but never got a real straight answer. so i have my own solution. it is a pain but it beats playing in the same old (3-6) AAA/AA stadiums over and over again. i have several dynasty's going at once. some AAA and some AA so it should be simpler if you are only using one dynasty. 1) i write down each dynasty and the park that the next game is to be played in home or away. 2) i go to mvpstudio and start up stadium editor. 3) i select either the AAA or AA stadiums depending on which team i am using next. 4) i change every stadium to the one that i will be playing in. just select the stadium and then substitue the *.big file from the available MLB stadiums. be sure to apply changes to game as last step for each. i.e. AAA1 AAA2 and AAA3 will all be changed to comiskey if my next dynasty game is with the 1919 whitesox and they are at home for that game. 5) go to the correct dynasty and play the game taking note of where the next game will be played so that the process can be repeated. this is a real pain i know but there is no other way that i can see to be playing in the correct stadium (using the classics rosters) for each dynasty you have going. hope this helps.
