Harsh Posted August 7, 2008 Share Posted August 7, 2008 i recently got a ps3 and a hdmi cable but when i connect my cable to th ps3 and the hdtv there is only a black screen. i have tried a lot of different things and nothing works. can anyone help? JoeRudi26 Posted August 7, 2008 Share Posted August 7, 2008 There are options with different connection settings on the PS3, just make sure you're choosing the right one. aguilafan2k5 Posted August 8, 2008 Share Posted August 8, 2008 i had the same problem heres wat to do.... 1. hook up your system using the composite cables (red,yellow,white) to your television. 2. setup the system and when asked for display settings select hdmi at this point the screen will go black 3.power off your console and hook it up using the hdmi connection. 4. now power your console on and you should now recieve a picture...if you do not get a picture ensure that your tv is on the right input ie.
