pistonj92
I searched for this, but didn't find anything. When I use MVPEdit to create pitchers, it doesn't work all the time, sometimes pitches disappear, and sometimes, all the values are changed to 36. I am using MVPEdit 2006.2. How do I fix this? DylanBradbury
YES!!!! I have had the exact same problem, and was not able to fix it! Not just you Pistonj92.
MarkB
Well, the default values for pitches are 36, so when you create a new player, he will be placed in the Free Agent list and named Player A. His number will be 51, default position is first base, bats and throws right-handed, all ratings at 5, birthdate 01/01/80, salary is 100 for 1 year, he'll be 6'0" tall, weigh 200lbs, have red hair, high batting stance and large wristband on his left hand. When you change him to a pitcher, his default stamina will be 36, pickoff rating 15 and he'll only have 1 pitch - a fastball, with 36 movement, control and velocity. The reason for this is that 36 isn't an acceptable movement value, so it shows up very easily when you look at your players. Once you've changed these values to whatever values you actually want for the pitcher and moved to another field, it shouldn't then change back - unless somehow the .ldb file is getting screwed up.MVPEdit doesn't have a save function, as changes are written to the file immediately after changing a field's value. DylanBradbury
What MarkB said is true. However, the other day, when I was trying to create a pitcher, I attempted to give the pitcher a curve ball, and every time it would revert back to a cutter (I think). I think I just ended up creating the pitcher in the game.

DeuceBlades
I am using kg's 6.2 and I have a different problem. I installed it, ran the plus maker, imported the roster to mvp edit. I looked around to check the faces, and thought, ok, they look good. I was wrong, the faces are all over the place. The ones that were in need of correction are corrected, but alot of the guys who dont have faces, have faces now, and are totally out of whack. The last time I used kg's and didnt have an issue, was his 6.0 update. Since then, the cyberface issue has crept up alot in the last 2 updates. I dont know what to do to correct it. It cant be a models.big issue, I dont think, right? Or am I just that stupid, and need to quit playing mvp all together? BTW, I to, had that problem that pistonjoe had, except guys just disappeared off of rosters for no apparent reason at all. I didnt find out until I exported the roster, had the game crash on me, reimported back to mvpedit, and found half of my team was missing, after I had 25 guys placed. I had it happen just recently when I went to export my created guys. I didnt want to create them all over again, and saved them to an import file. Turns out, that the file is not a compatible file anymore, and I cant import them to a new mbe file. It wont recognize the file at all. Thats why my guys disappeared from the game, when I went to import the roster into the game with the other mbe file. I dont know whats going on, but I do not want to uninstall mvp and mvpedit, everytime I update rosters, because its a huge headache, and there is no gaurantee that it wont happen again. Im lost guys, I dont have a clue as to what is the problem. Maybe I have a bermuda's triangle computer.....lol
DeuceBlades
sorry to bump this, but Im re-doing everything step by step, to try and solve this issue, or to see where it starts at. I started with the 6.2 mbe file, imported that into the game. I then took the attribute and managers files, installed them over the ones in database. I copied those same ones into the plusmaker and I am running that as I am writing. I didnt copy the other files in, because I am assuming the mbe file is correct and matches the other database files. I will edit this as I go, and see what is going wrong, and where it starts. Because somewhere, the cyberfaces get all screwy. They are fine (with the exception of the faces that are missing) with a fresh install of 6.2, its just when I run the plusmaker, thats when faces just get placed anywhere. Lance Neikro gets cyber 615 I think? which is a black or hispanic face. Im not sure whose it belongs to, but its def not Lance Neikro's. Thats because he is suppose to get generic 901, or I think thats the one Kg gave him. edit* Ok plusmaker is finished, copied the attribute and manager to the database folder, and voila, what do you know? The plusmaker is screwing up the cyberfaces. Before running plusmaker, Lance Neikro had a 901 face. After, he has 615. I dont get it, what am I doing wrong? Im lost.
kgbaseball
This is why from now on I will be releasing a plus version of the roster, meaning nobody has to bother with the plusmaker; all faces will already be updated.
DeuceBlades
sorry KG, I know you work your a$$ off, and now you have to go one step further to put out your rosters. I have no idea what happened, but Im glad you decided to go that route. I still love the rosters, and I will continue to use them. I will just use the updated version of your next release, if I have to. Thanks Kg.
