Pretty amazing play

Happened playing in my season with the 08 mod. Eyre is on in relief. Reyes at the plate..... this is how they got him out:

Eyre went on to get the win after Werth hits a walk off double bringing in Feliz (off Wagner, making it all that sweeter). But this is the most bizarre out I've seen ever playing this game!

Ha.. that happened to my pitcher once, but it broke his nose and he missed like 30 games

This has happened again to me in my last game. Guerrero lines to Bale, Bale gets hit in the hip, German barehands it and throws Guerrero out.

The game is kinda unrealistic in that fashion.

Today:

I was playing and I hit a hard come backer, the pitcher barely shielded his head w/ his arm, bounced off his arm and rolled in between him and the catcher, he went and got the ball, but Lugo (or Upton, can't remember) was already safe.

But that's not the point, the point is that they'd at least have to leave the game after something like that.

Ya, I've had the ball hit the pitchers and then the IF throws the runner out, but this one was different in that Utley catches it on the fly....schveet.

I had that when i was playing with the Yanks. The ball hit Rivera's head and was caught by Cano. Rivera got injured, tough. Concussion. :(

Nice. I've had that a few times before, and have gotten doubled up too. One time, I had a long fly ball to deep left-centre, and my left fielder had it hit his glove, bounce on his hat, roll of the brim, and the centre fielder ran into him and caught it as the ball was on its way down to the ground. Kinda of like how it happened this year, except the player recovered his own bobble :p

Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams tookm a liner off the head (while closing for the Cubs) and stayed in the game. Of course with him, they checked the ball for damage.

Pitchers get hit with comebacker and stay in the game, sometimes they even make the play. It happens.

Of course, they'll come out if it hits them in the head or in the pitching arm.

It happens for me EVERY other game though.

Nice vid!

Ive played a LOT of mvp and i must say i have given the pitcher his fair share of comback beatings. I have on occasion taken a pitcher out with injury due to it as well. Seems random tho.

MBL 2k8 (360) is the most ridiculous in this regard. It happens ALL the time, and the richoechets go for unreal distance. I saw a clip on youtube of s inking liner hit Abreau in the head and it [1] Went over the fence (something like a 100+ foot richochet), and [2] not only was he uninjured, but he jumped up and chased the ball.

The comebacker to the pitcher thing seems to be very hard limit.

I agree that on MVP05, pitchers seemingly are playing dogeball all day long, either making great hockey goalie saves, utilizing gymastic moves and mongoose reflexes to get out of the way, or serving as a line drive target.

Well, the gymnastic moves are overdone....something in the programming I guess. The mongoose reflexes and the 360 spins by the infielders I could do without.

Yup, it may be a preset injury time for getting hit in that specific animation.

Aaron Heilman took a comebacker to the face in my dynasty...30 games.
