Left handed pitching meter

When I put a left handed pitcher in (both starter and from the pen) the pitch meter starts acting really weird. Instead of the smooth curve, the speed of the pitch meter is really herky jerky. I've played over 200 games before, but this only recently started to occur. It seems that this started occuring after I replaced Fenway Park stadiums due to crashing, but that isn't the problem is it? I've been using Kumala's mod (and the 2008 mod) for those 200 games, and I haven't changed anything other than that and the stadium. Is there any fix for this?

Well it's normal for a while, then all of a sudden it just goes herky jerky. Instead of being a constant speed, it will just go fast-slow-fast-slow. Sometimes it fixes itself, sometimes it doesn't.

Honestly, I have no idea what is going on with it. If this is a problem with the 08 mod, try searching Eamods because they may have an answer for that. Don't PM Kraw about this because that guy gets a lot of PM's daily. KGBaseball, Redsox or Hory might be able to help you.

Is the game going 'herky jerky' or is it just the pitch meter? I have a fast machine but sometimes my game slows down and gets herky jerky depending on what you call herky jerky. This is because there's a process running in the background on my machine that is using a lot of CPU which leaves the MVP game with a less CPU which may cause the herky jerky that you talk about.

Just to test to see if this is an issue, when this happens again:

1) minimize the game (use keyboard's windows button)

2) go to task manager (hold down alt, ctrl and delete keys at the same time)

3) click on the processes tab to list all the processes running in the background

4) to sort the processes by the CPU, click on the CPU header. to sort by the memory used, click on the Mem Usage header. Note if any process is abnormally high.

5) After you're done looking, click on the close button.

If you have something running high in the background then either you have to wait till it's down (like I do), you can upgrade your PC (for CPU and/or memory) or you can remove the program from your machine that is causing this. If it's an antivirus or windows update or even a windows process (like svchost), I wouldn't remove the program from your PC.

If this doesn't describe your problem or help you then ...

Did you recently install (or modify a setting for) program on your PC or install a new mod in the game?

Wish you well ....

* edit *

The first thing I would do is to replace the mod that you installed with the original that came with the 08 download. Only one way to find out if this is the problem is by trying. Maybe a value somewhere in the stadium file is conflicting with some value in the 08 mod. Maybe you can try downloading another fenway stadium file and seeing if that resolves anything.

The herky jerky part is only for the pitch meter, the ball travels normally and the announcer/stadium sounds are all perfectly normal.

The herky jerky I'm refering to is an uneven arc in the pitch meter, like basically instead of moving like __________, it's _ _ _ _ _ _ _. (I can't put more than 1 space between each underscore, but imagine about 3-4 spaces worth in each.)

Well I redownloaded 08 and reinstalled it with the same mod I used for the 200 previous games and it's still occuring. I haven't done anything with my computer so I'm not quite sure what's wrong. I've also closed every other program (even anti-virus etc) and it still happens.

Oh, then it's something other than what I may get. I don't know what to tell you other than try to do what Yankee4Life said.

Maybe if there is a mod for the pitch meter that you can find in the download section on either site and install that. Remember to back up any files that you are replacing. And see if that helps. But, I would also take Yankee4Life's advice.

I wish you luck.

PS > If you do resolve the issue or find out anything else new, let us know just in case if anyone else is having a similar issue or maybe we can help further. Good luck.

Well now it's also spread to right handed pitchers. Sometimes it corrects itself, sometimes it doesn't. Seems like particular pitches cause this problem, but I'm not sure yet. Still attempting to investigate...
