Syrinx
I want to have MVP 08 as well as TC 78 and MVP 94. I tried to make a brand new folder in the EA Sports folder for each conversion mod and I always get errors and it won't install. I don't want to install it in the MVP 2005 folder because then it will screw everything up. How do I do this?
meteamo
Start with a fresh install on your machine. I'm assuming the MVP 2005 folder isn't a fresh folder anymore since you probably have MVP08 in that folder. What you need is a fresh folder. #1 So, you can either do one of two things for the fresh folder part. 1. You can uninstall MVP from your machine (including everything from the MVP 2005 folder). 2. OR, you can copy the MVP 2005 folder to MVP 2008 first and then remove the MVP from your machine (which would uninstall MVP 2005 folder's contents and not the copied MVP 2008 so you don't have to re-install the 08 Mod). #2 After you do one or the other, you need to re-install MVP 2005 on your machine (usually in the MVP 2005 folder). Once you have a fresh install on your machine, you can back that folder up if you want in case if you accidentally modify anything in the MVP 2005 folder ... but you don't have to if you don't have all that space. Then since I think all the conversion mods need a patch installed, you can install the patch on the MVP 2005 directory folder or you can wait to do that later on the individual folders. So, everytime you need another MVP version, you can copy the MVP 2005 folder (or whichever folder is always kept as the fresh install folder). This goes for MVP94, MVP08 and all of the other TC mods. #3 The third part involves, copying the MVP 2005 (patched or unpatched) folder and rename the copy to MVP 78, TC78 or anything else you want. Apply the respective Total Conversion / Classic Mod to the folder you just renamed. Make a shortcut on your desktop pointing to the appropriate MVP05.exe files within each of the MVP folders you have. Remember to rename the shortcut you have on your desktop so you know which version you are accessing. When you want to play one game or the other, just use the shortcut you want. It's always good to have a backup of anything before you install anything else or replace something in case if it doesn't work afterwards. It's not good to install one Total Conversion / Classic Mod ontop of another. It sometimes makes a mess of everything. That should be it. If there is anything I left out or got wrong ... don't hesitate to correct it. Good luck.
