MarkB
http://www.politicalcompass.org/index Simple concept, what with all the political debate going on lately. Take the quiz, post your graph. Everyone knows these things aren't foolproof and the results are limited only to the questions they ask to provide the graph, so take them for what they're worth. No prolonged debate about their accuracy, please - anyone with a functioning brain stem and some common sense knows it already. For comparison, here's some examples. SpaceFlare
This was a pretty neat test.. EDIT: Link wasn't working so I just attached my results
RaptorQuiz
My approx (X,Y) coordinates: (+2.2, +1.7) So, catzrthecoolest, I am more "right" than you, and approximately the same "Authoritarian," if not ever-so-slightly moreso. Just call me Jose Zapatero. So, apparently, I could lead the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party?? WTF! Cool test. Good find, MarkB.

RaptorQuiz
Holy. Cow. Sean O - I guess that explains a lot. According to the graph you're a quasi-communist anarchist and I'm leaning towards being a neo-liberal facist. Cool. We should do lunch. And then plot to TAKE OVER THE WORLD. RaptorQuiz
Just for shizz and giggles, I took the quiz again, but only chose "Strongly Agree" or "Strongly Disagree" for all the answers - I didn't pick either of the two "middle" answers. The "extreme" results would make me appear similar to Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany - apparently qualifying me for the Christian Democratic Union or the Social Democratic Party of Germany. :!: Here is my resulting graph. catzrthecoolest
I, too, am most similar to john edwards. Ew.
meteamo
This is me: Economic Left/Right: -4.25 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.08 OMG! I'm only one blip away from Nadar. Please someone shoot me. LOL But, I'd rather think of myself as a Ghadi or Mendela type. Sigh. *edit* I mistakenly read Alan Keys as Alicia Keys. AddisonClark
Just a little further out than tywiggins, while not far enough to reach SeanO: This was a lot of fun, thanks for the link!
meteamo
Thanks for the test. Raptor: According to Ty's Political Chart, you're closest to John Edwards* but then again, you already mentioned that. But then again, according to Ty's Chart, I'm closest to Nadar. Yuck. :lmao: * corrected due to previous error
RaptorQuiz
Raptor: According to Ty's Political Chart, you're closest to Hillary Clinton. Are you looking at my first post (actual answers) or my second post (only "extreme" answers) to make your comparison?
RaptorQuiz
But then again, according to Ty's Chart, I'm closest to Nadar. Yuck. :lmao: Apparently, those of us in the U.S. need to keep in the mind the graph is treating left/right on the "global" scale, not the U.S. concept of left/right/dem/rep. meteamo
Are you looking at my first post (actual answers) or my second post (only "extreme" answers) to make your comparison? Ooooh ..... that's a good question. I'll have to look again. The only thing I know is that I think Nadar is loco. Would that make me crazy too then? Anyways, let me check ~~~~~~ Walking out of room and Checking to see ~~~~~~~ Okay. I checked. You're right ... it was accidentally the extreme. I guess the whole Nadar thing annoyed me that I failed to scroll to re-read your norm chart. Maybe I should re-take it and see if I'm closer to someone else. I modified my orginal post. meteamo
Apparently, those of us in the U.S. need to keep in the mind the graph is treating left/right on the "global" scale, not the U.S. concept of left/right/dem/rep. Oh, okay. That makes me feel better. I feared I was going to have those nightmares again. I was looking for my anti-sleeping pills. I wonder if anyone would be right in the center (x: 0, y: 0). Yep. He struck Gold ... although Platinum may be better.
MarkB
No slave labour used in my gold and platinum finding attempts, either! Next up, the spin-off thread - calling for everyone to explain their answers to the questions and why they answered the way they did! I actually re-took the test and paid more attention to the questions and my answers...seems I'm a little more liberal/anarchic and communist than at first glance - I'm almost slap-bang in the middle of the Libertarian/Communism front. Updated my first post with new image.
