yanksrcool05
1. FBS Pro 97 Baseball- sorry MVP but this up here because in my opinion it was a very deep game with revolutionary gameplay for its time. A classic. 2. MVP Baseball- Soon this will be number one as it ages. With fantastic gameplay I was hooked for quite a few years. I did start to uninstall reinstall it because it got quite boring. That is until I finally found this fantastic website with total conversion mods and many others such as lead offs and sliding. I've been hooked for a record 2 months! It's just too bad I'm stuck with 2004, considering I could've gotten 2005 for 30 bucks at the store for PC yet I chose PS2, which didn't last very long. :wall: 3. Microsoft Baseball 2001- Extremely fun game because of 3D and modern gameplay, plus cool trades involving money (points) and counter offers. 4. 2K Baseball- I tried it once and it was ok, but not the same as MVP. I did like the trade tracker, which MVP never had. 5. All Star Baseball 2003- Makes it to list because this is sadly the only other title I've played. MarkB
MVP ranks highest for gameplay for me, but the High Heat series (excluding 2004, which sucked overall compared to the pre-2004 versions) had the best backend I've ever seen in any game, as far as I'm concerned. Who else remembers THE LINK? Oh, if only...MVP '05 and High Heat '03.

HH was a stats man's dream: saved box scores along with player of the game and terrific box score breakdown with, if I remember correctly, inning by inning action--all that and great gameplay. The only area where HH was outdone by MVP baseball is graphics. And, yes, I agree with you HH 2004 was a bomb.

gowingsgo8803
Well, you're all wrong. Ken Griffey Junior Presents Major League Baseball (KGJPMLB) (not to be mistaken with Ken Griffey Junior's Winning Run (KGJWR), which is hard as tits) This game is revolutionary. Moreso than Che. I forgot to mention that this is on the SNES. This game here is what every baseball game should strive to be. It's like MVP in terms of awesomeness, but much less complicated - hitters have speed, arm strength, batting ability, and power. That's it. Pitchers have speed, stamina, and control. You can weave pitches in and out with the cursor, so it's great when you're facing buddies. http://www.consoleclassix.com/info_img/Ken...ScreenShot2.jpg. If you have never played it, I suggest you go out and buy it. Now. Anything under $100 is a steal. Seriously, it's the greatest game ever. When you think of great games, you think - Super Mario 1-3, Zelda on NES/SNES/N64, WWF No Mercy, Metal Gear Solid on PS1, all revolutionary. But KGJPMLB comes up very close. To this day (I'm 20), I still have tournaments with cash pots every month, where we have a best of 7 with whoever comes. It's really that great. Often times, on things like TWIB, they talk about playing RBI Baseball on NES. That can't hold a candle to KGJPMLB. RBI Baseball looks like Rick Ankiel pitching in comparison to this Cole-Hamels-like awesomeness condensed into a cartridge that is KGJ. Bottom line: There are some sick baseball games. MVP 05/07/08, or whatever you want to call it, is second best (no offense). But until you play KFJPMLB, you really have no idea. It came out in 94 I believe, so I grew up with this as my childhood baseball game, and it's really that amazing. IGN gave it a 10/10 - it was perfect in everything, and it was all ahead of it's time. Go get a copy, or get an SNES, or get a buddy to buy it. It's worth it. I'm gonna go play it now :D

Clutch29
1) All-Star Baseball. 2) Mvp 3) 2k 1) Allstar a very close (1). it had a cool dynasty i remember, the had waiver wire so its like real life, you could claim ppl. i loved that feature, and i also liked the records, how when playing you could actually see people changing the record books, in all catigories including team leaders. The hitting was different, but it was kinda cool. BUT THE GREATEST THING THAT I MISS WAS THE SCENARIO MODE, EVERY YEAR THEY WOULD GIVE A SCENARIO AND YOU HAD TO COMPLETE IT AND THE MORE YOU GOT DONE THE TOUGHER THEY WHERE. EXAMPLE, trying to hit mike camerons 4th homerun in one at bat while still winning the game. I LOVED THAT and is prob the only reason its number 1. 2) Everyone here knows about mvp and all i got to say is one thing. AMAZING 3) 2k was good, maybe even great......in like 2000. when it was mlb espn 2k with giambi on the cover was when it was at its best, and the trade feature was pretty crazy, when you could offer someone and see what trades you would get in back was cool, and i also like the scouting how you could get a player mid season. but after that, i didnt like it. *** WHAT WAS TRIPLE PLAY BASEBALL ???? i know its not up there, so thats why i didnt talk about it but i think it should be mentioned, it could fall somewhere on the top, or at least for me. i think it was ea, before mvp in like 2001 or something. juan gonzalez on cover. it could make a run for any top spot on my top 3. I'm curious about High Heat now. Where's the Show? Last year's version was probably my favorite all time. I guess it wasn't in his top 5.
