MrMET
Why does my MVP 08 keep lagging. I think it might be the videocard. - System Model : Inspiron 518 - O.S: Windows XP Intel core 2 Quad CPu Q66 @ 2.40GHz - Memory : 3070 MB RAM - Video Card : ATO Radeon HD 3400 Series (512 MB) I have a 22" monitor so i wanna run the game at 1680 X 1050. Kayxero
Never had much problem running on an XP system. It could be background processes also. Whenever I got a new pc, I would erase all the extra crap that came with it, and put my own AV and extra progs on there.

Any suggestions? if i was you i would try disabling some stuff that really isnt needed like mound shadows or helmet reflections, even low uniform textures, to me even with mvp baseball at its lowest details its still the most detailed baseball game avaiable for pc, also did u try to update it with the latest patches? mvp seems to have had a long history of messing up with high end video cards so disabling textures isnt out of the question
starchman
your answers may apply to me as well, but I downloaded a few stadiums (Tokyo Dome, Ebbets Field, Polo Grounds) from this site, and on those everything is so smooth. I couldn't hit the first couple of innings cause I wasn't used to the ball traveling so fast, in fact. But in the regular stadiums, there is so much lag. Like I said, the ball takes longer to get to home plate. Sometimes the pitching meter freezes for a second and causes me to press the button again way too soon. Anybody know anything about this?
