Weird players' behaviour...O__o

:oops: I've tried to search the forums to see if this was a known issue, but I didn't manage to find a post about a similar prob, so here we go:

I've recently tried to install a coupla Mods (NPB Mod & Asia Mod) but unfortunately both were making the game crash, so I replaced the whole game folder with the original one I had backuped and contented myself with installing NPB uniforms and playing with them (using AAA teams they install themselves on). And here's where I started noticing weird glitches I had never experienced before:

1) my team's man on 2nd doesn't move; instead of trying getting to 3rd when the ball is in the air, he stands still and CPU often makes a double play thanks to this... :evil:

2) my team's man on 1st extremely often tries to steal the base even when there's clearly no room for even think about it... :evil:

3) also, my batters very often try to run to 2nd when there's clearly no room for a double, getting easily eliminated by CPU... :evil:

As I said, I had never experienced such weird glitches before; is it because I usually played with MLB teams instead than with AAA? Or the modding attempts have managed to corrupt something in the game? Matter of fact, after the failed installs, I didn't delete the whole MVP folder and then replaced with the backup, but rather copied the backup MVP folder inside the EASports folder...could that be the cause?

I hope I can solve this without needing to delete everything, 'cause installing the 12 NPB uniforms one after the other took me quite a lot of time and I wouldn't like to go through that again if there's a chance to avoid it... :oops:

Quick update (perhaps it will help finding out what's the prob): I've tried with reinstalling the game from scratch, keeping in a temp folder the files models.big, logos.big and uniforms.big (those involved with the NPB uniforms I had installed and wouldn't want to loose).

At first I tried playing with the freshly installed game and everything was smooth: my players were behaving correctly, not trying to steal impossible bases nor staying on 2nd as if their feet had been nailed to the base...

Then I tried to substitute the 3 aforementioned files with the "NPB-unis" ones I had and thought "ok, now the players will sport NPB unis but still behave normally, right?". Nope. Amazing as it may seem, now the players are back to act weirdly... :evil:

Just...how is that possible? I mean, models.big, logos.big and uniforms.big shouldn't just be graphics stuff?! How could those files affect the way the user's team behave?!? :?:

Any help on this subject will be wholeheartedly appreciated...many TIA! :oops: :wink:
