Ever wonder what it would like to run a dynasty with the 1975 Cincinnati Reds or the 1973 Mets? How about the 1974 A's or the 1987 Twins? The Total Classics "Best of the 70's and 80's" mod allows you to answer those questions.

This mod brings together some of the best teams of the 1970's and 80's for dynasty and exhibition play. Each of the 26 major league teams in existence prior to 1990 is assigned a selected 1970's and 1980's team from the Total Classics Phase 9 and Total Classics 1978 mods. For dynasty play, the 1978 schedule is included.

This mod also includes the latest Candlestick Park and 1972 Yankee Stadium mods.

You can get more information and a glimpse of the teams included in the mod here:

That's the beauty of developing mods in stealth mode. There's no pressure to get them out and when they are released, people are really surprised.

Can I take credit for this theory? I'm taking credit for this theory.

Thanks to everyone who helped out with Yankee Stadium. This is still a work in progress, so the final version should be coming out shortly, once we tie up a few loose ends. So, bullpens/cameras are off, collision data isn't 100%, so on and so forth. But, enjoy.

I've been playing with this mod till 1 in the morning

everything seems to work fine but i just played exhibition games

it's cool those classics game are too much

mvp2005 still the best game ever at mvpmods

Mine too, sorry about **** on the review page, did not see this thread

Your comment on the review page stating that you tried installing on top of MVP08 says it all, and shows that you didn't read the installation instructions.

If you had, you would have read that for this mod, like all of the Total Classics mods, we recommend that you ONLY install it on top of a clean, patched version (i.e. nothing extra except EA Sports MVP 2005 patches).

If you install it on top of another mod (like MVP08) there could problems with TC modifed files conflicting with files modified by MVP08.

Try installing this mod again on top of a clean, patched version of the game and see if you still have problems. I'm guessing that you won't.

THAT is how mine is installed...a clean version that is and I am still having the probs. The other Classics games I have installed on my machine (7 in total) all run smoothly....but not this one for some reason.

OK, that's a good start (the way you are installing, that is). I just re-read your post and you indicated that you are having problems when you sim AAA games.

Are you running a dynasty with a major league team? If so, which one? Also, what settings are you using for the dynasty? Do you have trades and injuries turned off (i.e. those options that could alter your major league rosters)?

How long does it take for the crashes to occur? Are the crashes with a particular AAA team? What are your system specs.?

Do you have multiple dynasty files in your My Documents MVP Baseball 2005 folder? Some have found that when you have multiple dynasty files, they run into crashing issues.

OK here are some answers... I am running a dynasty with the Blue Jays. I have left all settings turned on...ie trades injuries etc. The crash usually happens during the ending of the game being simmed...like it was crashing trying to finallize the game. System specs... OS Windows XP, Intel Duo Core CPU E8000 @ 3.00 GHZ, 3328 MB Ram. I am going to try the multiple dynasty files thing as I do have 4 different dynasty files in there. I wonder if a Sub Directory in that folder, say called Spares, would interfere with the game... I will let you know what happens... Oh ya, it does not do it every time either. I just went into the game and simmed 10 days of games. The game threw me out after the 3rd day. I simmed a 2nd time and it threw me out right off the bat!

Sorry to have messed up, but '88 runs fine over '08 so i thought it would work this way too. i will try a clean install

This should always be the case for every season mod you install from here on out.
