dsaad7
How can you force a trade?
Cubs-Blew-It-Again
I'm not sure if this is a solution but have you tried turning off the Fair Trades option. If this doesn't work, please be more specific as to the problem you are having.
HCaray
This is what I do: Keep on fair trades, but turn off budgets. For example: I simulated a real season where the Cubs did not make the playoffs this year, but lost 1500 points in budget. Thats not realistic, even if they did worse than last year, The Tribune Co. still isn't losing money. You should still be able to sign free agents, or trade whomever you feel like without bugitary constaints. According to the game, even if the Yankees won the Wold Series, they still wouldn't be able to afford Carlos B. Not real hoss.
mooseknucks
with fair trades on and budgets off, just offer up some of your good propspects for a young allstar, like helton, or one with potential. fair trades is self explanatory.
