evil1182
I have the 20 gig and I want to buy the 60 or 120 gig, with the new update coming out to install games to the HDD, the 20 gig isn't going to cut it. How do I transfer my save files and all my other DLC to the new drive?
RdSoxFan618
Just a suggestion: Why don't you just put the disk in, that way you don't have to spend $100 on a new Hard Drive? And is Microsoft that stupid? There's gotta be more of a catch than going to Blockbuster and renting and burning.

Burning the game to the system speeds up loading times and will help the disk last longer. Evil: If you buy this, You can transfer all your saves over to your pc and then over to the new HD

wrigleyville33
Rent the game...$60 turns into $5. Yeah couldn't you just install the game on to your hardrive then play without the disk?
BigRog
You need the disk of the game you ripped onto your system, that exact disk not another one, in the system when you try to play the file off your system or it won't allow you to play the game. The exact disk because it records serial numbers.
RdSoxFan618
You don't need that exact disk ever again if you are ripping the game onto your hard drive.

BigRog
DJ, it consists of ripping the game onto the xbox and then playing it off your HD while the game is in the system. It is a new feature Microsoft is implementing into the xbox on the Nov 19th System update.
krawhitham
here is what I did: Picked up a 20gb used 360 HD for $35 Picked up a new 120 GB HD for $30 (WD1200BEVS) Hooked up new drive to PC, flashed the firmware Removed 20GB HD from 360 case, put 120GB drive in case Hooked it up to the xbox and formatted the drive result is a 120gb elite HD which retails for $159.99 but it cost me 65 bucks
krawhitham
Yes you do, Microsoft went on record saying that dude. the 360 checks security sectors on the original game disc (around 200k or 1 second access of the disc) then if loads the game from the HD

The exact disk because it records serial numbers. You don't need the exact disc, just a copy of the game. My friend installed his Gears Of War on my harddrive and as long as I had MY Gears in the drive it worked.
