ok so press left on the arrow keys when the pitcher is about to deliver the ball toward the plate if it is a left handed batter hit the right arrow key this will help you drive the ball more to hit homeruns

that is for only lefty batter though this does not work with righty batters

right handed batters it just the exact opposite hit the left arrow key when the pitcher is about to deliver the ball toward the plate this will help u turn the ball down the line

hitting is timming in this game just remember

There are many threads dealing with keyboard controls on the boards. Keyword searches will find them for you.

Also, you can go to the website below and download the MVP 2005 manual in .pdf format.

hi there

jgerbino, i just tried what u told me but the baserunners always steals to whether i point at e.g. when i hit with a R batter i press left so the baserunner at 1st always steal 3rd base or if i press up the baserunner at 1st always steal 2nd...it only works with L batter because i always press right so the baserunner don't steal bases..but if the baserunner is at 1st base and i press up the baserunner always steal 2nd..

how can i solve this problem?

thanks in advance

hi there.. i've been able to use the left stick for a long time now...this might sound silly but can i turn off left-stick hitting influence in MVP?? because i hit homeruns almost every time if i put the stick to up-right/left direction.. and most of the time when i'm losing i use this "advantage".. ^_^ thanks

You can just turn the power down. Go to the gameplay tuning, and turn power down to like -25 or something like that.

Or just switch to all-star or mvp mode.

LOL I forgot I uploaded that!

edit: also try a datafile and slider set. I'd recommend Maddies Daddy's 3.1 with my sliders :D

well it somehow worked... i can only have about 1or 2 very long homeruns if i push the left stick up-right..long homeruns like 400+ft... is there a way the left stick influence can be totally turned off??

thanks..

Just don't use it.

:D i have been doing that but sometimes if i use the left stick, for example a hanging slider up and in i push the left stick up-right and the HR will be like 430++Ft with power slider like -40 i think that is not realistic considering the batter is bengie molina...

EDIT: is there a way to lessen the distance of the HR's aside from the power slider/decreasing the influence of the left stick like in mlb2k9??

There might be an option if you go to MVP Options - Controller Config., you can edit the commandments of each button/key. I don't believe there is a way to lessen the distance without touching the tuning though.
