Wicked420
Is there any way to stop the computer from automatically calling guys up and sending them down at the end of the season? It is very annoying re-organizing them and takes a lot of time to do in addition the rest of the stuff you have to do in the off season. Thanks! vorlando90
i just go to cpu optimize then i make little changes. i think the cpu does a good job of what guys can move up or not
Wicked420
The problem i have is them calling up the wrong positions. For example: This time I had my starting catcher and my backup catcher, and it sent down my lefty-hitting short stop and brought up another catcher. I needed the SS, not the C. It has done this more when i was in manager mode or whatever it is, i forget the name exactly. But when simming seasons like that it gets very annoying at the end of every season to have to redo 4 teams of rosters and try to remember who was where. I guess there's no way to turn off CPU optimization at the end of a season?
LetsGoFish2015
Also, they send down obivous star players and replace with minor leaguers.
Wicked420
Also, they send down obivous star players and replace with minor leaguers. Yeah it done that with my pitching a few times. Taking out good relief and throwing them in AAA while sending up more starters i don't need.
Totte
Yeah it done that with my pitching a few times. Taking out good relief and throwing them in AAA while sending up more starters i don't need. For some reason the cpu likes to stockpile minor league starters in the major league bullpen and I've never really understood why...
LazyHorse
I always thought that this was what the "Positional Ranking" menu was for, although I guess it still wouldn't help with pitching.
LetsGoFish2015
Also, how come even when u turn off CPU transactions, it still makes drastic changes automatically? And, is there a way to keep retirements more logical? And the ""weird"" line-ups.
hal_2604
I bloody hate it when that junk happens
furball
I'm playing in owner mode and I have this same problem. During the off-season, just before giving the option to start the preseason, it says, "Optimizing CPU-managed rosters." The trouble is, it totally changes my rosters AND SIGNS players I don't want. (I don't carry 25-man rosters on my minor league teams.) Does anyone know of a way to prevent this, please? Thanks!
