hollywood57
Hi, Another question about the game commands...I have a guy on the first base, but he always wants to steal the second base, whatever I do. When a miss a swing, the catcher throws the ball in 2B and my runner is out...How can I do to say to my 1B runner to stay on his base, until there's a hit of course. Thx et Merry Christmas
SESbb30
are you using a keyboard?
hollywood57
no, a controller. I use the right stick on down to decrease all leadoffs, pushing the "6" button to retreat all players, but it doesn't work.... oh, and what is a "pickoff attempt", which sometimes appears when I pitch ?? I don't really understand this word... thx
hollywood57
ah, pickoff is throwing the ball on a base, instead on the hitter, to try eliminate a runner, is it correct ?

hollywood57
I try again to find the command to "force" my 1B to stay on his base and not always trying to steal the 2B, I don't...
meteamo
You can check the configuration of the controller in the setup section of the game. It will tell you what each button does, such as advancing all runners or retreating all runners. It will also allow you to set the funcitons to whichever button you like but I would stay with the default the game has for the controller. I haven't played the game in a while but if the runner is always trying to steal 2B then it sounds as if you might be hitting a button to do something that you did not intend. It might be the button to advance all runners or to steal a base. I would check the configuration to see what that button is or if there's a conflict. If all the runners on base try to advance, then it would be the advance all runners but if only the first base runner then it would be the stealing. If it is the stealing, you may be hitting the 2B directional button which would cause the runner to go to that base. Good luck.
