What is the point of arguing?

Sometimes i argue a call and my manager gets tossed or he just goes back to the dugout. Is there a point to this? Will this gain team chemistry if he stays in the game and lose if he gets tossed. Or will u gain a lot of team chemistry if you have the highest argument intensity and not get tossed and lose a lot of team chemistry if you have argued on the highest intensity and get tossed. Please reply with as much as you know about this please!

Some people claim arguing gives your team an extra boost (if you're right) or lowers the team's morale (of you get ejected). I think arguing has the same function as in real life: to vent! ;-)

Ok cool but do you think anything else will happen like will it just be temporary boost for the game or for normal dynasty team chemistry? We already know they official won't change his decision.

Do you think there is anything else other than chemistry boosts?

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I've often experienced that arguing (and being right about it) affects the upcoming at-bat. When I was the pitcher, it was easier for me to get an out. And when I was the batter, I often produced a hit. I don't know if that's just my impression, though.

From the Xbox instruction manual:

".... a well timed argument can give your team an attribute boost, while a poorly timed one can frustrate your team and give them an attribute penalty. Sometimes arguments have no result. Listen to the commentators during the cut scenes to figure out which you received.

EA Sports Tip: Manager arguments are more likely to get a boost on very close plays or blown calls so watch the entire reply before sending your manager out. Arguing balls and strikes is an automatic ticket to the shower and if you get kicked out the CPU makes all the managerial decisions for the rest of the game Be smart! "

Some things I've learned:

1. You can not argue a play if you use the replay option from the main menu. You can only argue after the auto-replay or, if there is none, before the next pitch is throw (even if the call you want to argue ends the half of an inning and there is no auto-replay, you can still argue the same call at the beginning of the next half-inning before the first pitch).

2. You will never, ever have a call reversed. The only outcomes you will ever get from arguing are the attribute boost/penalties or your manager being ejected.

3. If you play without the commentary you can still tell if the argument effected your players attributes. After you argue you may get a cut scene of your dugout. If the players on your bench appear pumped-up (clapping their hands, nodding their heads and pumping their fists) you have given them a positive boost. If they are listless (heads down, blank stares, kicking the ground) the argument had a negative effect. If there is no cut scene of the dugout, there was no effect.

Some things I'm not sure of:

1. I'm not sure how long the attribute boost lasts. When it happens to me, it seems like it effects the next at-bat only. When the CPU gets pumped up, it seems like they have a big inning. This could just be me bitching though.

2. I don't know how turning off the variable "stuff" and umpire blown calls options in the main menu effects arguments/ attribute boosts.

Hope this helps!

Just for clarification, this is only true for the console version of MVP. If you play the game on your PC, this feature doesn't exist.
