HollywoodHogan80
I've played 2005 on the xbox for over 3 years now - played it on PRO and adjusted the sliders to my liking so that I could hit 1-3 HR a game. I've recently got the game on my PC - and am loving all the options available to me!!! However, I've played 3 games now on ROOKIE with the sliders adjusted to the max power for user hitting and have yet to hit a homerun let alone a deep fly ball. I'm playing the TC 1988 mod... is this common for this mod? Also, I find the pitcher control meter extremely hard to use (compared to the xbox version). The green area is extremely small and I've got the pitcher's control set to 99. Is this just me or does anyone else have this same effect? I've searched the site for slider downloads etc. but all the links are broken. Does anyone have any light to shine on this dilemna. meteamo
Some of the links are broken. My guess is that not all of the posts have converted over. The site is undergoing a change and after it is all done, the broken links may not be broken anymore. But, there are always bound to be a broken link somewhere. You get that in many places over the Internet in any event. But, here are some threads that you can check out in the mean time. kumala Pro slider for final datafile Hoop27's MVP 07 Allstar Sliders V1.1 What I found is that before I start a dynasty again (after a while of not playing), I always play on the harder level until I find my reaction (but not necessarily the results) are good. When I go back down to the lower level, I play all that much better. Also, if you utilize the batting and pitching in-games, than that would be useful. To help with your homerun swing, press up on the directional keypad if you have a gamepad or the appropriate key if you use a keyboard. There is a data file I believe used for the pitching meter. I'm not sure about that right now. You can search different posts for "sliders" and "pitching meter" (w/o the quotes). It's a little different than before. You will need to click on the "My Assistant" Link near the top of the page and then click on the "search" tab. Also, if you also search for "explain" in addition to the above searches, you may get a post explaining each slider option. And if you search the downloads section for tutorials or sliders, perhaps you will find a tutorial or slider download explaining the slider options. Good luck. meteamo
Your welcome. Good luck and Happy gaming. Also, it just takes time. The first week I was playing the game, I was losing 20-3 on Rookie mode. Now, I'm only losing 20-19 on Rookie mode. J/K ... I made it all the way up to All-Star when I do play. And after a while of not playing, I try to fine tune my reaction with MVP mode. You'll be hitting .750 and hitting 60+ homeruns in a few weeks. HollywoodHogan80
LOL! Sounds good! Thanks again for the advice and tips - playing on a harder level and then going back down to an easier level really has helped. Hollywood
