Sipimi
Now that I know you exist guys, I'm going to throw you some 4-year unanswered questions! I've noticed that some aspects of the game aren't too realistic. For example, I found that I was thrown out too often when trying to steal a base and could throw out too many runners. This leads me to the question: Which game settings do you use to get close-to-life statistics? Which ones do you tweak? Thanks for the advice! Note: I'm using the official version with patch #5. Maestro23
You can try: 1. Sliders: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?showtopic...Official+Sliers *Slider Definitions: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?showtopic...der+Definitions 2. Datafiles (Change many gameplay aspects): http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?autocom=d...&showcat=
Sipimi
Now that's a quick answer! Thanks a lot!
Endless
There are a special set of sliders that affect basestealing. I'm not in my home computer right now so I can't give you their exact names but they go something along the lines of "Baserunner speed", "baserunner aggresion", "CPU basestealing frequency",etc. Play around with does. Also make sure that you are taking "large lead" when you steal a base. No matter how fast the baserunner is or how the sliders are set, if you don't take a large lead then you probably won't steal the base. Another thing that you can try is installing a new datafile. A good datafile will make the physics in the game more real, but keep in mind that you will have to start a brand new dynasty when you install a new datafile. Do you have any datafile/sliders to recommend?
Endless
I really like the last KSM datafile. The kumala datafiles had great reviews also, although I prefer the KSM datafile over it. Download them and see which one you prefer. You can also try installing MVP08 and trying that datafile. [edit] The sliders will depend on the datafile and on how easy you want to basestealing to be. Again, it's up to you.
