jjbecka
Hey all So I have been playing this game for a while and after many many hours of tweaking and updating I finally got it to where I liked it......then my computer died. So my request is, can anybody help me out with the "game" settings to find what works best for realistic play? I am talking about contact, power, infield range etc. This is a fantastic website for a fantastic game. Thanks for any suggestions!
rookie_rick
The problem is with using other people's settings is that everyone plays slightly different so it might not be realistic for you but the settings that work for me are posted in my dynasty. Give me a few minutes and i will find the page for you. Edit - My sliders are on this page. http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?showtopic=35047&st=
emath2432
Ok. Dumb question. As an example, user contact: is 50 the harder setting, or -50? Which will make hitting harder?
rookie_rick
The lower the number (-50) the harder it is but there are some such as pitch meter difficulty that are the reverse so (50) is harder.
jjbecka
Thanks Rick. I appreciate that. I will give them a shot. It seems like they were pretty similiar to what I was running.
Yankee4Life
I got to echo what rookie rick said before. Other people's settings for the same game may not be the best for you. What you should do is tweak your settings manually and when you are happy with it, go from there.

superciuc
It depends on your abilities. Example: If the contact is set at 20, and you can't hit a damn thing, just raise to 30, or 40. Do the same thing for power: if you can't hit HRs, set it at 30, or 40, or, if you really suck, at 50. At what level are you playin btw?
ixcuincle
But what happens when you raise your Hitting and Power to 50 each , and this happens? 4 hits...struck out 17 times. Is there any control pitching-wise to make the ball more hittable? Lower CPU pitching control? Because 17 strike outs is ridiculous.
jjbecka
You know Hamels gets dangerous when TWO of his players are HBP... :)
ixcuincle
Well the easy solution is to turn it down from Pro to Rookie. I knew Hamels was pretty good in the postseason , but he was dealing like vintage Kerry Wood last night. Damn...
jollydodger
he struck you out 17 times? ouch, how is that possible?
