Very Tired Cpu Pitchers

I noticed that the CPU takes a strangely long time to take out a pitcher, regardless of his decreased stamina. I was playing an intense subway series game, and they kept Phil Hughes in until his stamina reached 23% (90 pitches) and he gave up about 3 homeruns in one inning.

Is there a slider which encourages the CPU to take the pitcher out earlier. How can it be fixed? (I don't think this has been happening the whole time I've had the game...)

You need to provide more info. What mod are you using? Using a datafile?

Could be a slider setting. Slider Definition thread: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?showtopic...der+Definitions

Are you using a datafile? Could be something in the datafile. If so, you need to crack open the datafile and check the settings inside. Many threads on the board discussing editing a datafile. One file that will help in understanding the datafile, is the Datafile Tutorial.

Good luck.

everybody has this problem, for example, jake westbrook was throwing a no hitter against me.....but he walked 20 batters. it was like 11-4 at the end of the game, and they never took him out, he threw like 240+ pitches, just rediculous. so i dont think there is a fix, unless im mistaken.

I think maybe it has to do with what Maestro said. A slider setting. I can bet you that a lot of people have never really adjusted their sliders in this game. I'm sure the CPU Pitcher fatigue slider has not been increased so the CPU pitcher gets tired faster. That slider may still be on 50 or below that.

EDIT: I am pretty sure that a datafile made by Jim825 addresses this problem but I am not 100% sure.

One way I've found to fix it, at least in a way, is to set the pitcher injuries slider higher. If it's set high enough, usually around 120 pitches the pitcher gets injured. I've noticed since I've been doing this that the CPU pulls it's pitcher much sooner (apparently it knows to avoid the injury?) Only thing about this is, you have to be very careful with your pitcher as well. Don't leave him in a long inning past 100 pitches and don't run the pitch meter into the red if you can help it. I have the slider set at 50 and have lost a few pitchers doing this but it's usually a minor injury where he only misses one start at the most. It actually makes for a much more realistic season as you're forced to use your spot starter more...
