masternachos Posted January 29, 2009 Share Posted January 29, 2009 I've got MVP07. Whenever I try to play a game (as in, on the field), the game crashes, saying, "mvp2005.exe has stopped working." It does not seem to matter what stadium or what mode (owner, play now, etc.); it always crashes. What is the problem? emath2432 Posted January 29, 2009 Share Posted January 29, 2009 Are you using the same team each time? Take it from someone who has gone through it all the past few days... If the loading bar get all the way near 100%, and crashes, it could be that the stadium updates that come with the 07 mod are too much for you PC. If it is crashing before the loading bar gets all the way to the end (maybe half way), it is likely a uniform issue, or maybe a cyber face. These guys know better than me, but that is just a few of the issues I have been having... I am finally getting some of my issues figured out on my own (amazingly enough)... Jim825 Posted January 29, 2009 Share Posted January 29, 2009 I can't be positive because I never installed MVP07, but I do seem to recall there being a problem with some stadiums causing the game to crash. I believe that there some stadium updates to address the issue. Try searching the forums. It seems to crash immediately, before any bar loads. Also, I just went into Owner Mode and went to "View Stadium," and it also crashed. Since no players would've been involved, I don't think it is a cyberface or uniform issue. The moment I select "Advane" on the stadium-selecting part, it immediatley crashes. Again, I have 07, and am using the CD that I own. I have had more crashes than I can shake a stick at, and yet I have never had it crash at that point. I have had it crash while loading the MVP 08 screen (yes, I have 08, and never had 07, so I am not sure if that makes a difference). I have had it crash half way through loading the stadium as I am starting a game, and I have had it crash just as the stadium appears, and the announcer starts talking (though that is rare), but never the instant I hit advance. EDIT: Could it be a corrupt file, anyone? The stadium file, the announcer files??? Just copy the stadium folder out of the data folder on disk two and paste it in the data folder where you have the game installed. In fact my stadiums aren't supposed to be in that mod, but the jackasses over at EAmods won't listen to my requests. You need a clean install that's the key.
