Bias Against Injured Players In Updates?

So I was updating my rosters on the PS2 version and I noticed a few pitchers on there that aren't on the most recent update of MVP 08. The players are: Curt Schilling (ex-BOS SP), Mark Mulder (ex-STL SP), Mark Prior (SD SP), and Jason Vargas (SEA SP) to name a few. I understand that some of those guys are free agents and/or coming off of injuries. But Mulder and Schilling were high profile starters like a year or two ago. So just because they get injured for a year they get deleted from the game?

If it's a space issue then I somewhat understand but otherwise I don't get it. I plan on making them on my pc version when they sign with other teams by taking their stats from the console. I also don't get why people feel the need to tweak minor things in these updates like changing starters coming off of injuries to relievers but that's another story for another time. I was just curious why Mulder,Schilling,Prior, and others get deleted when people like Bonds and Clemens get left on.
