Removed Player Question

The only thing I can think of is pull the roster file from your disc, open it using MVPedit, and export the players you want to your PC, and then open your current roster with MVPedit, and import them into your current roster file.

this is absolutely correct. check out xiberger's mvp mods for dummies thread. you can see the link on the front page. familiarize yourself with it. you'll see a post by me somewhere on the first page that tells you how to get the other files associated with each player into your game too.

Ok, now I have a question for you Homer.

In the post you mentioned, in the MVP for Dummies thread, you mention that you can't have two different players with the same photo/audio ID. I have a few of them, and I have no issues. I am just wondering what was up with that?

this has been up for debate before since many mods use the same portrait id# for several guys without any apparent problems. but i've heard from the higher ups that know the in's and out's of this game and they still disagree. i have good reason to believe that it can cause problems. i don't know the exact reason because i haven't witnessed it myself, but let's just say that when i hear about problems from certain modders here, i tend to take their word for it since the answer is probably more complicated than i want to hear about. i always play on the safer side if possible, so i guess just take all of that how you want to :)

Yah homer is right. Be careful man... I've gone through WAY too many rosters, and therefore time.

Even if a roster is working at this moment, doesn't mean it won't work later!

Hopefully that doesn't scare you too much. Now back to re-doing my rosters...

Hmm. Yeah, some guys I really respect have now all told me different things. You guys saying it messes stuff up, and Jim (total classics) telling me he does it all the time, and has no issues.

This game is so picky...

Thanks for the reply. :)

I have a couple of back ups, so if I have an issue, hopefully I can go to one of those, and fix it up.
