Trouble Re-intalling Mvp 2005

Hello Everyone - this is my first post on this most excellent site. Unfortunately, it is in reference to a problem I'm having.

I've had the PC MVP 2005 for a while and starting adding mods last year (updated rosters, stadiums, etc.). After a while I foolishly stopped backing up my original and kept adding mods. When the game began to crash I uninstalled MVP 2005 and then tried to reinstall it. Every time I do I get these messages:

1) 'E:\Support\MVP Baseball 2005_Code.exe'

%1 is not a valid Win32 application

2) 'E\Support\MVP Baseball 2005_unist.exe

Only part of a ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory was completed

I combed the forums for solutions: all my previous MVP files have been deleted (except dynasty team files), I tried re-installing using the setup.exe, etc.

I love MVP 2005 and hope this isn't a irrevocable problem with my system or discs. MLB 2K looks like fun, but I'd rather stay old school.
