Snash13
Quick update... After taking a couple busy days off I have started up on working on the giant puzzle that is the minor leagues. I will implementing all the suggestions and names people have given me. PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING! They help so much! I will post updates on the status of the roster every couple days. Right now I really would like some Angels and Mariners fans to send me any names suggestions ideas etc they may have as I am starting with those two organizations... Thank You! Let get down to the dirty stuff!
Patrick1609
How about that 'editing limit'? Is that true? Can you really just edit a bunch of players?
jerm
Here are the Twins fake player names: Pitchers: Anthony Swarzak: Adam Smith Brian Duensing: Brandon Durrington Deolis Guerra: Domingo Guardado Rob Delaney: Rex Denney Kevin Mulvey: Kristopher Mears Tim Lahey: Toni Lane Oswaldo Sosa: Ozzie Sanchez Kyle Aselton: Kevin Aaron Jeff Manship: Jessie Morris Jay Rainville: Jeremy Robbins Casey Daigle: Chad Dorsey (TEX) Jason Miller: Juan Mateo (DET) C-Jeff Christy: Jerry Celic C-Jose Morales: Jared Meekins 2B-Luke Hughes: Lynn Hundley SS-Trevor Plouffe: Travis Paul 1B-Garrett Jones: Grant Jacketts (PIT) 3B-Steven Tolleson: Stanley Toombs 2B-Tommy Watkins: Javier Guillen OF-Brandon Roberts: Boyd Restovich 2B-Luke Appert: Loren Atkins (PHI) I'm not sure of any prospects from the Twins in the free agent list right now. The parentheses mean that is the team the player should be on now, not where they are on the roster.

suckerpuncher
For some reason when looking at the "Pitches" section in Edit Player for pitchers everything is grayed out for me. That means it's not possible to change the pitches a pitcher uses nor the ratings for the pitches. Does anybody else have the same problem?
mleetch352
yes. not sure if there is a way for this to be patched, but if there is that would be even better than editing the rosters cause that is where the real editing needs to be done as some pitchers are missing pitches. jerm
A guy did a bunch of names over at Operation Sports: Fake Player Guide He only got through like the Indians or so until he ran into the roster editing limit on 360. Btw, does anyone know if there is a roster editing limit on PC? Heres a few I saw that he missed: HOU-Tyler Lumsden-Trent Logan TOR-Matt Roney-Mike Rice

Gamer, I'm pretty sure that topic is from 2K8. Btw, I found an answer to the question I had earlier. Yes, there is a name editing limit on the PC version, which is a bunch of bull. I'm not sure if there is a way to get around it and if anyone knows one, please tell me.
huskerdoug
Juan Cruz (RP) signed by KC for 2 years. Ron Mahay (RP) for the royals is nowhere to be seen, at least I have not found out where he is in game. Thanks for the rosters!

gcurrier2004
Where did you find that out at ? I still have not been able to confirm that for PC anywhere I was excited to start a franchise, and downloaded your rosters then started to add all of the top prospects (I type 85 ypm and flew through them) and it did stop me before I could add them all. I had a few teams left. I hate to say it, but it is confirmed. I will post screens when I get home.

robroy
snash: I followed your instructions with the file and replaced orig rosters with the snash rosters at load prompt. (I have Pc version) But I dont see certain players like Ollie perez on the Mets. Did I do something incorrectly or were certain players left out of the rosters? I noticed with the boxed Pc game,Ollie was not included on the mets roster either, for some reason. Were some players left out due to contractual problems or free agency, etc? Thanks

ferrarienzo3
Nope Tom Glavine is a FA. I picked him up in my Red Sox Dy-Nasty and now have this roto. Matsuzaka Beckett Pedro <---- hes back in BOS<--trade Smoltz Great combo Glavine Great combo<--- FA Jeff Samardzija <Trade Clay Buckholz John Pappelbon Jon Lester Tim Wakefield<Call up Hideki Okajima The Pitching Bar is Full so I guess that means 90+ for pitching I picked up I. Rodrigez C and J. Edmonds OF off of FA as well
huskerdoug
Juan Cruz (RP) signed by KC for 2 years. Ron Mahay (RP) for the royals is nowhere to be seen, at least I have not found out where he is in game. Thanks for the rosters! I have found out that Ron Mahay is in the free agent pool under a different name, Ross Moss or something stupid like that. He is a few people below the first page if you sort by setup men. Can you fix his name and assign him to the Royals on your next roster update? He has 1 year left on his contract, he had signed a 2 year 8M deal. Also Cruz's deal is 2 year 3.8M I believe. Thanks! Mutombo
Mahay is never in MLB games as he's not in the MLBPA. He was a scab.
thecurseofmapco
Pittsburgh Pirates fake names and changes: 2B Ruben Gotay and P Jason Davis should be signed from FA to AAA Indianapolis. FA 1B Randy Murphy = Ryan Mulhern FA 2B Angelo Moreno = Anderson Machado WAS A 1B Luke Borders = Larry Broadway CHC AA P Dave Valent = Donnie Veal (Bucs' rule 5 pick) I think the rest of these guys are found in the Pirates' system in the game: C Mariano Peralta - Miguel Perez P Dave Deleon - Dave Davidson P Darren Harper - Daniel Haigwood P Jim Ham - Josh Hill P Donald Hasler - Derek Hankins P Kerry Butts - Kyle Bloom P Bill Haynes - Bryan Holliday OF Adrian McDonald - Andrew McCutchen C Jamey Jacobson - Jason Jaramillo OF Juan Tavarez - Jose Tabata (need huge ratings boost) OF Joel Dunn - Jason Delaney 2B Sean Fung - Shelby Ford OF Brett Cora - Brad Corley OF Jerry Reith - Jamie Romak 1B Sheldon Lloyd - C Steven Lerud (has played 1B too, but is rated best defensive C in organization, so his ratings need some adjustment) The following guys have either January 1st 19xx birthdays or birthdays just days off, but otherwise match up pretty closely to real players: P David Mullis - Danny Moskos P Bret Lemon - Brad Lincoln FA P Jim Sanders - Jeff Sues C David Mount - Michel Hernandez 2B Derek Soson - Pedro Lopez FA P Virgil Spillane - Virgil Vazquez
dsaint5879
actually...in the Cubs AAA...there is a Mark Kerr. That's Virgil Vazquez. Just look at his stats in the pitching section of his player card. Matches perfectly (as does birthdate). This is the 360 version..so i don't know if it's the same or not. Here are some of the Free Agents I found in the game that have real counterparts: FREE AGENTS Starting Pitchers #77 Buddy Howell= Blake Hawksworth. Put him on Memphis (Cardinals Triple A) #27 Jake Krevsi= Ramon Ortiz (has his picture). Put him on San Francisco Triple A (minor league contract) #72 Aaron Mason=Adam Miller (Put him on Cleveland Indians minor league system) #45 Kirk Darby=Kyle Drabek (put him in Phillies minor league system) #58 Tim Harikkala=Tommy Hanson (put him in Braves minor league system) #62 Mark Baker=Madison Bumgarner (put him in Giants minor league system) #19 Jake Jacobson=Jeremy Jeffress (race is incorrect but should be in Brewers minor league system) #65 Clayton Wilson= Chase Wright. Move to Milwaukee Minor League System #22 Max Powell=Mark Prior. Move to Padres minor league system #22 Earl (last name begins with an M)= Eric Milton. Move to Dodgers system. Relief Pitchers #48 Randy Parsons=Rick Porcello (race is incorrect, however should be in Tigers minor league system) #47 Tim Szotak=Scott Mathieson (put him in Phillies minor league system. Check player card under pitching stats...3 clicks of rt) SetUp Pitchers #32 Ryan Moss= Ron Mahay (put in Royals Triple A. Birthyear is incorrect but everything else matches. Birth years are wrong on all "replacement" players who participated in the 95 strike. So Kevin Millar's [Kyle Morgan of the Blue Jays] and Jamie Walker's [Jim Wilson of the Orioles] are also wrong) Closers #48 Robb Graman= John Rhienecker (still a free agent) 1B Nick Rice=Nolan Reimold (race is incorrect as is position. Should be RF. Move to Baltimore Minor League System) LF #13 Mark Lowry- Matt LaPorta (put in Indians minor league system) CF #19 Felipe Marrero=Fernando Martinez (put in Mets minor league system but race is incorrect) #25 Jack Martin=John Mayberry Jr. (race is incorrect. Should be in Phillies organization) RF #51 James Hunter= Jason Heyward (put in Braves minor league system) also...for the Pirates...3B Neil Walker is listed as Norm Williams and is listed at Class A Sarasota in the Reds organization.
