Mlb 2k9 Wireless Issue Fixed

I found a way to fix the MLB 2K9 wireless controller issue.

I created another Profile in the #1 slot ( you create one when you first run the game and it defaults in the #2 slot) went to control setup and mapped the sticks and toher buttons then save the controllers settings and that's it.

I'm using the Logitech Cordless Rumble 2 gamepad.

I don't know if this works or not but someone posted over at the 2K forums that if you don't turn on the controller until you reach the menu screen that it will work.

I actually didn't have an issue with getting the controller to work, but it seems very delayed. It's sort of like if you play the 360 version online but it's actually a little worse. Could it have anything to do with my g-card? The game its self runs pretty smooth overall but when it zooms out to the crowd it's a little jumpy (doesnt really bother me though). I'm using the 360 wireless controller, and the specs on my pc are: Vista Home Premium 32bit, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4gz, 3gb ddr2 pc5300, ati radeon hd2600 pro 512mb i believe ddr2 (pci express). Any thoughts?

I would love to try and use my XBOX360 Wireless Controller on PC, but is there an exact way to install? I used my XBOX Battery charger and it said that it installed properly. But when I turn it on, my 360 turns on.

I used an xbox 360 wireless and tested it vs a wired xbox 360 controller. No contest. The wired controller is better.

You will get a small delay withe the wireless one. No biggie if you play other games, but when you stare down at a 97 mph fastball and you are trying to swing and make contact, you cannot have any delay.

But that's just my opinion.

that is true that a wired controller will be a few hundredths of a second quicker so if you are looking to buy a new controller I would agree.

However if you are like me and you have a 360 with a bunch of wireless controllers id rather spend the 20 bucks on the adapter than the 50 on a wired controller. Also I have my PC hooked up to a wall mounted TV so wireless makes more sense in my case.

I have a stupid question. I've been panicking so badly on a good controller for PC and I don't wanna blow more money on something ending up useless.

Is there a specific XBOX360 controller for PC or just a reg. XBOX360 one is for PC also?

Its just a usb adapter on a regular 360 controller. I found it here so far http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Dongle-X...2501&sr=8-1

If you already have a wired controller thats all you need. My 360 controller came with it, It didn't say controller for windows it was just a wired xbox controlller. You will be able to see the usb connection through the package just make sure the one you buy has it.

Never had any problems with my Wireless Xbox 360 Controller.

Try to delete "Settings.STG" in your User Profile

C:\Users\"USER"\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\MLB 2K9\Saves

But I play with the default controller config so I never made changes to the controller settings

The Wired 360 is playing great...but I'm having one annoying problem.

The light in the XBOX button is starting to switch from 1 to 2, which basically stops my use as #!. I re-plug the controller and then it is back to normal. This has happened to me during games and it's scary. Anyone have an idea of fixing this?
