rolie
Anyone else getting Sound Crackling? I got an old creative audigy sound card. The game randomly has sound crackling in between innings. Don't notice this issue during the menu screens or anything. My speakers play anything else fine without this popping sound.
maddux31
Rolie, Read on either 2K or OS that a guy had this problem and he update the driver? Not sure if you already tried this, but it worked for him.

Wicked420
Have you guys tried updating your sound card drivers? Just a thought, should be worth a try.
rolie
Yeah I had the latest driver but it was corrupt somehow I suppose. I took me like an hour but I fixed it. Here's is sorta what I did. 1. took the card out to check the model number because they made a ton of different audigy cards. You an identify your card on their website with correct model number. http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowArticle....com,case=10846 2. Dowload the correct driver from http://www.creative.com 3. Unpacked the driver by right clicking and extracting the exe using Winrar. Inside this driver is a tool called ctzapxx.exe in the"\Drivers\support\i386" folder. This is the correct uninstaller of the old driver. 4. After correctly uninstalling. I rebooted in safemode and ran Driver Sweeper to remove registry details left behind. Found at http://www.guru3d.com 5. After that I installed the new driver and no more crackling or popping sounds.
