kumala Posted March 5, 2009 Share Posted March 5, 2009 I have a evga geforce 6800 ultra with amd64 3500 processor, games looks great but crawls. I think its my ram. I have 512 since one of my ram chips got fried. Would going with an extra gig of ram help it run smoother? Or is it my cpu and card as well? Kumala- You'll be more than fine with that setup. I have a 9600 GT (512) and 4 gb of ram, but XP will only recognize 3, so I really have 3. Runs like a champ. There's some very slight slowdowns during non-gameplay scenes, but I haven't tried turning on VSync which may help. After seeing pirate work on the stadiums, I'm dying to get this thing going. I have an asus A8N-sli deluxe board so I should be good with this setup.
