jg2977
No rainouts for me, thank you. I don't want to be up 8-0 in the 4th inning and then have the game be rained out. I'll be turning that option off if it's in the game.

Why would you actually WANT your game being stopped, losing all your progress...Some weather effects wouldn't hurt, but rain would just be ridiculous. Exactly, nobody likes rain delays in real life, why the hell would they want it in a video game? I had tickets to the first Yankee-Mets game this past year. I drove 100 miles to Yankee Stadium, after listening to radio reports all day and everybody was saying that the game would be played. Sure enough, the game got rained out, and I had to battle New York City traffic all the way home! I've never been so pissed in my life! I couldn't attend the makeup game because I had to work, so I traded the ticket in two weeks later to a game against the lousy Detroit Tigers. braby21
EA could put in Rain Delays and have an option when you start your dynasty to toggle them on or off. This would keep both parties happy.
Kccitystar
how about NO RAIN DELAYS but have the rain effects in the game ala madden with the rain pouring
KerryW
how about NO RAIN DELAYS but have the rain effects in the game ala madden with the rain pouring yes, but that's just unrealistic...Have you ever seen a game played in the rain? I sure as hell haven't..
jg2977
yes, but that's just unrealistic...Have you ever seen a game played in the rain? I sure as hell haven't.. How about the game in May 2002 when Jason Giambi hit the game winning grand slam to beat the Twins 13-12 in 13 innings? That whole game was played in the rain. Kccitystar
...Have you ever seen a game played in the rain? I sure as hell haven't.. Well, maybe you took what I said another way but I meant it as drizzle or just a minor pour, not some full blown hurricane type rain

These guys, though, are expecting EA to put in time and money perfecting something so unnecessary and stupid, which would probably end up annoying more people than not. Kazaki
yes, but that's just unrealistic...Have you ever seen a game played in the rain? I sure as hell haven't.. My ever so precious Florida Marlins played the last half of one of their games against the Reds in quite the bit of rain this season.

Dazedcat
how about NO RAIN DELAYS but have the rain effects in the game ala madden with the rain pouring I like that idea a lot. Hardball 5 had this feature; you didn't physically see rain but you could set the playing conditions accordingly. Fielders were slower, error chances went up and ball physics changed dramatically. Wonder what sort of programming this would involve though. Regards;

HaloFan
See, people don't really want realism in their games. The whole point of rainouts is that NOBODY likes them! I would welcome the occassional rainout, and the problems that come with it. I'd like doubleheaders where you have to watch the fatigue of players, making sure you don't play everyone for both games completely. I'd like having to sweat out wether I have to bring up someone from the minors to make a spot start, or do I use my long reliever to get me that start. I'd like rain delays, where I have to decide if I'm going to leave my starter out there or bring in the pen after the delay. I want rain shortened games. It's nice to have variety like this when you play 162 games.
