Hudson_Vasquez
Well the High Heat series had both rain delays and actual rain in the game... That's where High Heat was superior. They just tried to put in everything about the game.
cb
I don't think there should be a "Rain" option in the game. Overcast option however, would be nice.
slugger
I've only experienced one rain out.
pfunk880
*points at HaloFan and nods*Agreed. At least make weather/rain delays/rainouts an option. ESPN is supposedly putting weather effects into MLB 2K5 this year, why can't EA?
Emil
They are rain delays in 05 atleast it was in 04!
SolidWing68
Well, that's what I meant by weather effects earlier..Having a little fog, drizzles, and general overcast weather would definately add to the realism. These guys, though, are expecting EA to put in time and money perfecting something so unnecessary and stupid, which would probably end up annoying more people than not. I think if they did something in the schedule menu when you click on a day theres like an info button and when you click it, it has like weather predictions, forecasts and so on.. LetsGoOakland
In a perfect world: Rain outs available in Dynasty Mode with the option to turn them off like errors, injuries, CPU trades, etc. Rain effects during gameplay which could cause more throwing errors or errant pitches but light enough where a real game wouldn't be rained out. Fog for areas like SBC Park where they are positioned along a shore.
endeavor
I like that idea a lot. Hardball 5 had this feature; you didn't physically see rain but you could set the playing conditions accordingly. Fielders were slower, error chances went up and ball physics changed dramatically. Wonder what sort of programming this would involve though. Regards; Thats how it should be! Just like in Madden!
pitchleague
I don't mean to bump this really old thread, but I was playing (not simming) my 2006 dynasty today and I clicked to get the Brewers/Mets game from April 14th. When I clicked "play/manage" from the "play today's game" menu, it briefly went to the lineup screen before, "TODAY'S GAME HAS BEEN RAINED OUT" popped up on the screen. I hit "close" and it took me back to the main dynasty menu and the date at the top advanced to April 15th. I look at the "play today's game" menu, and the Brewers/Mets had a game scheduled for 1:05 pm, followed by the minor league games of the day, and then the regularly scheduled 7:05 game!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! It actually scheduled a day-night doubleheader for me!!!! I just had to post this because I've never seen it before. I did a search and this old thread was the only thing that popped up when I searched for "rainout" and "doubleheader". Anybody else ever see this? maxbjr
Yes I have. It happens more in my minor league teams, but I have had rare rainouts in MBL team play. That was followed by a day/night double header.
